I wasn't blaming it on van Pelt. I was saying this idea he was ruined is questionable at best.

After all, if his best season was 2020, and he left Cleveland afterward while van Pelt was still there, who ruined him? It's either van Pelt or no one.

He was also 27 TDs and 14 INTs as a rookie. Sophomore slump, just like Brady. Then a really good year 3.

So, who ruined him?

It's safer to probably say the players did not like him or his demeanor, and that his play on the field hasn't really changed at all.

Lastly, when you go down to Tampa and you get to QB with superstar WRs, you'll have generally good results.

Maybe ruined him is an extreme.

But can we talk about Sam Darnold or Derek Carr then.

Can someone explain the clock issue with that declined defensive offsides with third and short at the two minute mark?

It was actually a smart play by the defense, the clock was at the two minute warning, so they tried to take the penalty, knowing that Philly was going to get the first down anyways with the tush push. This way the clock wouldn't start. Philly was smart enough to decline it, then did the push, got a first down and Atlanta had to use all of their timeouts. If Philly had accepted the penalty, Atlanta would have had a timeout when they got the ball back.
