Here's the first example disputing this in my favor.

Jacksonville got the 3rd seed in 2017 over KC and KC had a better division record but a worse conference record. They never played each other.

How does NFL.com the wrong information on the rules?

The rules are stupid and confusing. They need to have separate headings for the rules applicable to ties within the division and another for ties within the conference. I believe we had a thread about this in 2018 with the Pats potentially being in a 3 way tie for the 1 seed. We (the forum) ultimately settled that if a particular tie breaking rule on the list is not applicable (such as H2H among 3 or more teams that all didn't play each other), the league goes to the next tiebreaker, etc. until a winner is determined.

I may be wrong, but isn’t it uncommon for two teams coming off of a bye to play each other? It may be paranoia but seems a bit suspicious to me that the Patriots bye week benefit/advantage is blunted to some degree because the Colts will also be well rested. Of course, Colts fans could make the same argument.

Yes it is unusual, on top of that the patriots had to play two other teams coming off of bye weeks, i don't remember who they were. I read that the pats play a third place schedual because thats where they finished last year. They're suppose to catch a break by playing a third place schedual in that they shouldn't have played away games against teams that were coming off they're bye weeks, which i thought happened.

Jacksonville is a dumpster fire, but at some point it should mean something that Trevor Lawrence sucks so far as a pro. By letting him be a gunslinger and make mistakes, isn’t it concerning that he rarely makes a big play?

But but he’s so dreamy. He’s such a ‘complete package’. His mom is so pretty.

The OC was on the sidelines early this season to be with Zach as the offense struggled. When Zach got hurt, the OC went to the press box and the offense dramatically improved. (Of course Zach didn’t play, so...)

The Jets intended QB Coach tragically passed away before training camp, so that’s part of it too. The possibility remains though that he’ll never turn it around.

His mom doesn't want him catching cooties from the other kids that are of a lower social order. Remember, Punky grew up wealthy, his teammates had to work for they're money.
