Nobody cares about what is deserved. The ravens 2 yrs ago and even the giants in 2007 and 2011 didnt deserve to get in an win the SB. But you always want other results in your division to favor you. At least thats how I see it.

Guess we 'll just agree to disagree here. I'm past the division. I just don't agree with rooting for other contenders over division teams that are very unlikely to overtake the division. Not that I think ravens will beat us id just prefer they didnt make it.

I have my eyes on home field and the super bowl. Division should be a gimme with both bills and fins at home.

Nothing is a gimme in this league. Yes our team's success has spoilt us in the past but you take all the losses in your division you can get and worry about outside the division as the chips may fall.

Those bleating the "win the AFCE first" mantra do not think through the ramifications.

A very good, possible SB winning Pats team could very well LOSE a game in Denver in January or even possibly a game in Foxboro to a fired up Ravens team with Boger's ref crew having a flag fest.

I felt people were way too quick to put Luck in the elite class. He has done nothing this year to change my mind. His ceiling is a Brett Favre type of career, but he has a long way to go to be in his class. I don't think he will ever be in Brady's class because he turns the ball over way too much.

Well , its just my opinion. People overlook the division just because we are the pats and we are at home. If we lose to ravens with HFA then it means we didnt deserve to lose to them because we had HFA ?
We have seen how things change quickly with teams, injuries,freak plays etc. So I will put away the division first in the immediate term then worry about a fired up ravens team in january.
