If they lose this week to a 2-8 Panthers, they will have secured the No. 1 overall pick.
Not with 5 weeks to go, they won't...

The ultimate FU to Polian would be a two fold approach. First, win big and have such a big halftime lead ( Think Tennessee in the snow in 2009(?))that Hoyer and Mallett play the second half. Second I know this is unlikely but make such a big enough stink about the integrity of the game by complaining publicly to Goodell and the Competition Committee, of which Polian is a member that a team shouldn't be able to put less than their best efforts to secure a better draft slot. The only solution is an NBA-style lottery of the worst 4 teams or the worst 6 teams in which an 0-16 or 1-15 Colts team is not guaranteed the drafting rights to Luck...

I don't really believe that the Colts are purposefully losing. That's just a bit too 'tin foil hat' for me to buy into. And before the Commish can remotely think of doing anything, that would have to be proven with some kind of irrefutable proof, like audio/video of Polian saying so, or a memo or something.

I think it's the same dynamic that happened to Belichicks Browns the last year he was there after Modell announced they were moving - they thought they had no reason to win, so while not purposefully tanking games, their heads just weren't (and couldn't be) in the game, and in the NFL that's a killer.

Same with the Colts. That whole team had been built around Manning. Manning throwing the ball, Manning calling the plays, Manning audibling, etc. When Manning was announced to be out, it just ripped the heart out of the team, they lost their edge, and are losing games. It doesn't help that they've had a massive talent problem on that team for a while now that is finally coming to surface - even with Manning, they win 6-9 games max really. But losing that heart is the difference between 5 wins (without Manning) and 0 wins.

The biggest and funniest FU Belichick could give to Polian is to play only Hoyer and Mallett in that game and kick Indy's butt.

It would be very cruel.......and GREAT!!!!!!

Fixed your post for you, shmessy.

LOL. I'm just bustin' yer chops APF!

Let's have a great game Sunday - - should be fun.

I know you are! As you could guess, I'm one of those that worry about the Eagles especially with their pass rush.

Biggest test of the last 6 games.

Looks like we're catching a break with the opponent injuries - - - but I thought that before the Pittsburgh game, too.

I honestly think the Patriots could beat this years Colts if the starting offense was:

QB: Hoyer
RB: Vereen
OL: Light, Mankins, Wendell, Waters, Vollmer
WR: Price, Edelman
TE: Gronkowski, Hernandez

You still have the dual threat at TE, Hoyer is no mug and Vereen is fast and knows how to find a crease.

That way the likes of Brady & Welker get some well deserved rest and it's a big FU to Polian with the fact the back up QB & WRs just beat his team.

Will the point spread be greater than 20? Could be a college point spread

I want to see Brady, Hoyer, and Mallett all throw a TD

I hope we go for the record beat-down.

Still pissed at the 06 AFCC game.

I want to see Brady, Hoyer, and Mallett all throw a TD

In this order:
- Seam pass to Ocho
- Screen to Vereen
- Bomb to Price

Don't care all that much about the score, all that is important is a W...

We had the pedal to the meatal vs. the Chiefs...why not against the Colts? Screw them. You gotta ask, "WWPD? (What Would Polian Do?)"

An oldie, but a goodie...and completely relevant. Run it up...****em

BB: We do not train to be merciful here. Mercy is for the weak. Here, in the playing field, in competition: A teamconfronts you, they are the enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy.

Go New England "Cobra Kai" Patriots!!!!

The Colts are pathetic this year. I always thought that they would be an 8-8 team without Peyton.

Having said that, I hope that they win tomorrow. The law of averages are in their favor very week that they go without winning.

If they are tanking the season deliberately, which I don't think they are, but if they are, they should have all their draft picks taken away.

It will probably open in the 15-18 range but I bet by gametime it could be around 20 for sure.

But what if they actually come to play?

Plus they are 20 points under dog. They can't claim no one disrespected them.
