I still think they need to protect their franchise if they think he is it. 4 concussion checks in one year is not good.

The giants are going to super careful and sit Dart and let Winston start One game is not worth the future. The Pats definitely need to be careful as the giants are a sneaky good team that has bad luck in the fourth,

Winston is a very talented and skilled QB, who has rarely been able to keep his TOs under control enough hold on to a starting job. But make no mistake he is a guy who can pile up the yards and points. If he has one of those games when he doesn't give it away a time or two he can sling it as well as anyone. So personally I'd rather see Dart on Monday.

I think the kid will be good, but not good enough by Monday.

Right , i had that as a down game for Josh, especially in the red zone. Cost us 11 points and a smooth win

1st and goal from the 1
1st and goal from the 4

NO excuses for not getting tds against the worst defense in the league on both

Mike Reiss explained it

Guys have to make plays too, can't just blame it on McDaniels who btw 3 times called plays that should have been TDs

-The play that got it to the goal line. Probably a TD is Boutte isn't grabbed
-Boutte on the goal line beats his guy and gets held, likely has a TD if he wasn't
-Henry TD that was called off for a ticky tack OPI

Henry has inside leverage and space on the defender to the point where Hollins didn't even take him out of the play because he was already out of it

Interesting. Giants having 26 sacks as team and they are supposedly some feasting pass rush. Meanwhile the Pats have only 1 sack less than them and supposedly have no pass rush..
How many of there's and ours were on blitzes?
Serious question.
We struggle mightily to pressure with just 4.
Burns has 13 sacks, Chaisson and Landry have that combined.
I can't imagine we are near as effective when rushing 4 as they are.
Could be wrong.

Absolutely the execution was poor as well. Just thought running up the middle could have been replaced by some tosses (not just in the red zone but really in general sunday) and wasn’t a fan of the tush push call on 3rd and 1 , it feels like that hasn’t worked all year from a yard plus out.

There is little to nothing to gain from playing him. I think they believe Dart is their man. It just makes sense to shut him down for a few more games or even the season. Get the first pick overall, clean the coaching staff from top to bottom, and just start over. They have an elite LT in Andrew Thomas, a great WR in Malik Nabers who needs to get healthy, a good d-line, and pass rushers out the wazoo. The building blocks are there.

Agreed.

And if Maye was checked for a concussion 4 times before ending up in the protocol and the season is lost I wouldn't want him out there either.

They also have their bye week after this game like us so i think it would behoove them to play it safe . 2 extra weeks to recover by only missing 1 game

Edit: i went back and actually read the link this time, so it already points out the bye point lol

According to Pro Football Reference
We only blitz at 0.1% rate higher than the Giants. 21.6% to 21.5%
Giants have 86 pressures on the season. We have 83.
Giants have 25 hurries on the season. We have 26
Pressure (Hurries+Knockdowns+Sacks) % on dropbacks: Pats 18.9%. Giants 18.1%

As for Brian Burns having 13. Their #2 player in sacks is 1 of their DTs with 3 sacks. So this simply points to the fact we have a tad more balance and the bulk of their sacks is from 1 guy.
Burns has 21 QB hits on the season. Landry has 16, Chaisson has 13

If we have no pass rush then by the metrics/stats based on the info I got the Giants have no pass rush. I'm not saying this means anything as far as the game goes but it really seems like people just look that they have Burns Carter and Lawrence and assume. BTW Lawrence has a 11.8% missed tackle rate this year. Now obviously they might get a boost because we are playing 2 backups on the left side but that's why there are coaches and game plans.

This is fair.
I will say, the Giants have played Philadelphia twice, which might skew those numbers a little bit. Not a lot, but a little bit.

I'm far more concerned about Dexter Lawrence than anyone else on that line. Bradbury's going to be in for a long evening.

Great insights, thanks for looking it up.

I've seen Burns lineup quite a bit on both sides, pretty effective from the right and left side. That will be challenge for our OTs. Dex is a load in the middle. Not having quite the same year as last season, but still will be a problem.
Let's hope this isn't the game where Carter proves you wrong.

Thanks for doing an extra 3 seconds of online research that I couldn't do. I feel better about this game now.

Hmmmmmmm.

Honestly, I think this is going to be a tough game. They need the bye week to get here and fast, defense is on fumes. Gonzo…to be honest, I don’t really know what to think of him right now. Fragile and hasn’t been impressive overall.
