Welcome to Week 13 of betting, friends and foes. Time to jockey for playoff positioning. We are going to declare a regular season champion though, and petition Ian for a pretty banner for that person. The brown banner has already been promised for the Grand Champion at the end of the playoffs, but I believe the regular season champ deserves recognition as well. I am open to suggestions for the color of that banner.

Please refer to the Week 12 Results thread for your current bank roll. Lots of big road favorites this week...prime for some teasers perhaps?

As always, please quote your most recent post when making new bets and/or changing your bets. If you are enjoying the prop bets, I will have those posted here no sooner than Friday. I will tag you all once those numbers are up. We have had some nice winners on prop bets lately!

Good luck to all.

Could we perhaps get a little, round, hairy dingleberry banner as a participation trophy?

Yup. I don’t really like any of these lines. I’m pretty much sitting out this week and letting other people tank themselves (hopefully).

This seems like a bad time to bring this up, but remember the rules state you must wager at least 10% (rounded) of your pay roll each week. So that would be a 10k minimum.

I know it may seem unfair, but we put that rule in early on to encourage activity.

Don't make me unleash @venecol on you. He can be a real prick, whereas I am the good cop.

Down to 16 from 1855 and I still have 2 spots to play. Please give me some opinions or advice ...

Eagles (can't use them) / Jete

Cinci / Chargers

Broncos / KC

Pats / Bills

Dallas / Saints (already used)

Ravens / Steelers

Also have Raiders, Bucs, 49ers, Rams, Colts, Vikings, Cardinals

I believe 8 people still have and will be on the Jags. I think Denver will also be popular playing at KC after a big win but that game scares me. Denver might be getting both tackles back and seems to have found themselves in some ways. That division is wide open. Denver can play D and run the ball. Idk I'm a little nervous esp bc I hate going with the group and think most will be on Denver losing.

Anyone think the Jags have any hope at all? I think 8 people haven't used them, good on them. After this week they have Tenn, Houston, Jete. Not the strongest teams and the Pats at the end of the year. So I'm thinking people are using them this week or saving for against us but that's way too far away imo.

Steelers look like they could be almost done and buried but Balty is Balty. Beat up, injuries, both sides of the ball have issues.

I still have the Jete. Playing at home against the Eagles. Jete are coming off a win against Houston and the Eagles are pissed imo. They looked and sounded very frustrated after the Giants game.

I do have 2 spots and a last ditch option to pick both teams playing the same game to ensure I'm through until the next week. Really want to hold onto that option for another week or two if I can but I have that card if I want to play it.

Really would appreciate some opinions and insight on any game or team. Maybe you live in a different area, I'm in Boston. And watch another team or two? I would really appreciate any info or advice!

I wouldn't feel overly confident about any of these, but that is what happens this deep into a season for these elimination games.

Jets would be my 2nd choice. They suck, but I do not remotely trust the Eagles. They could blow out the Jets as easily as lose to them.

I really think I would take the Broncos. It's scary because of all you said plus division game, etc. Bridgewater has been banged up, and an appearance by Drew Lock would guarantee a Chiefs win. Plus, the Andy Reid off a bye thing is real. I would put my faith in that over putting faith in the Eagles or Ravens (Steelers would be my 3rd choice).

KC is going to win that game. I hope I am wrong though!

Both picks on Denver to lose or split them up? One on Denver and one on jete?
What do ya think?

If I can get by this week with both I'll have a big advantage very soon bc every one will be picking 50-50 games.

*edit* just looked and saw I have NO Saints in one of my spots. Playing at home against Dallas.

What are the rules? You can pick the same team twice instead of taking 2 teams?

You can't pick the same team twice. Standard survivor rules except we're picking teams to lose.

I have two entries left whereas everyone else only has one spot / one team to pick. It's $50 per spot, you can buy as many entries as you want. Been playing it for a few years. Lasted until week 8 & 10 the previous two years. It's a score if you win or even split, 85K. That's like 2 years worth of money as a bounty hunter.

As a last ditch option I have an advantage of picking the same game, *if* I have both teams available to me. Ex: pick Denver and KC, I haven't used either one so far. I'll obviously lose one of my spots the next week but guaranteed to survive with one going forward. I wanted to save this until I really need it but it's a nice little option if things get really tough.

I definitely lean Broncos after a KC bye. I know the Eagles thought they let one slip last week.

Appreciate the advice. I need it and will listen to others as well. Again I might get to hang up my bounty hunter boots and stop chasing bail jumpers if I hit.

Ah, good to know! Did not know that. Added a bet to get up to my minimum.

Is there a maximum as well? Was wondering if folks may just go all in final weeks for a last ditch effort.

There is no maximum. So people can "go for broke" at the end if they want. However, whatever your final bank roll is this year, you will carry over 10% of that for next season's preseason prop bets. It may not seem like much, but even at the 100k you are at now, you would carry over an additional 10k to start next year. Gives those people who finish in the plus an advantage next year. That was my attempt to discourage everyone from just saying screw it and betting everything on one hail Mary on the last week.

We'll see if it works, I guess. But next year before the season, everyone will be allotted a certain amount of money for prop bets (similar to this year but a lot more: OROY, DROY, rushing leader, first coach fired, etc.). Basically every prop bet I can find. An extra 10k or even more will be a great advantage next season!

Saints and the points, 5k; Saints moneyline 3k

Falcons to beat the spread, 2k; Falcons moneyline 1k

Colts to cover, 5k
Tell me what the over-under is on Jonathan Taylor yards. Spoiler, it's too low.

Eagles to cover, 10k... the JETE just had their high point of the year

Bengalzi to cover and have to be explained in 67 hearings by Hillary Clinton even though that other guy tried to steal the whole country and never has to testify under oath for nothin I mean, Bengals to cover, 3k

Washington WTFs and the points, 3k, Hail To The Football Team!

Jags moneyline 1k, Rise Up!

Ravens to cover the spread over the suddenly super pathetic steelers for 5k, the over for 2k

Patriots to beat Buffalo in Buffalo, and I'll take my 2.5 points but don't need em, 10K
Patriots moneyline 5k, a little less brave without the spread.

I don't actually think my Pats thing is happening, change my mind.
