Yes!!! Highsmith and Vrabel have Forged and excellent relationship as well... I remember Vrabel saying during the FA lull when we brought stef in for a visit that to be patient and something will happen..

Highsmith is absolutely an integral part of the organization decision-making..
He was in Pro Scouting when Vrabel was there for a year, before he got the VP job at The U. Only reason he took the Patriots job is because he was told he was getting a GM job.

Every time I see anything about this kid, he just reminds me so much of Steph Gilmore. No need to **** talk, he knows how good he is. All technique, just incredible we got another "guy" there.
Ty law raves about Gonzo.. ty said he didn't have Gonzo length and speed..

Gonzo has the respect of revis, the physicality & technique of law, the ball skills and confidence gilly, he's getting healthier and it's showing each week.. want him to get his first pick tomorrow..

Only reason he might not is because I don't know if Fields can throw far enough.

Waiting for @State to come in this week and remind us about Fields' 'unstoppable RPO'.

Hmmmmmm bucket list Maye's First 300yds game.... Gonzo's First pick in 25! Doable.

Yes. He is high in the ranks in the organization.. something like Vrabel-highsmith-Cowden-stretch- and the burista wolf..

If we can have all that accomplished by the 3rd quarter would be wonderful. So I can sleep and dream about hitting mass cash...

Live Wolf Reaction.

I can't wait for Miami to throw an absolute bag at him in the offseason.

Well.. question for you? Who can throw further Jacoby Brissett or Justin fields? But we don't even know who's the starting QB yet?

Rather see pitt in the playoffs..

My prediction

1 Pats 8-2 > 14-3 I don't know who they lose to, but it is going to happen once. As long as they get by the Jets without messing up on a messy TNF game i see them as getting healthier and taking the top spot. If they lose to the Jets, it gets tough.
2 Colts 8-2 > 13-4 Indy has a tough finish. I see them losing to KC and SEA... Or they steal one and lose 1 out of 3 of Jagx2/49ers.
3 Broncos 8-2 > 12-5. They lose at least 1 KC. Then 2 of GB/JAX/LAC/other... It gets rough for them.
4 Steelers 5-4 > 10-7. Their D is good. If they take care of business they can win at least 1 of 4 of their hard games left.. maybe split.
5 LAC 7-3 > 12-5. All comes down to if they beat KC again. I think they are built well for it and take care of business
6 Bills 6-3 > 12-5. They are inconsistent at times but they tend to play really well more than not.
7 Chiefs 5-4 > 11-6. They turn it around and look dangerous. Lose 1 to Den and 1 to LAC or someone else.

Ravens 5-5 > 9-8 (Joe Burrow sounds like he'll be back the game after us. So the Ravens get him with the Bengals x2. Pitt x2 Pats and GB. I think they lose 3 maybe 4 from here on out. Remember, they weren't that good with Jackson. If They stay on schedule they go 10-7 and maybe/probably make it. If they lose 1 more than they should... 9-8 (including a split with the Steelers) and they are out.
Jags 5-4 > 9-8. They just aren't good. Maybe they steal one of their 4 tough games but they are bad enough to blow it to a bad team.

Anyway

7 KC @ 2 Colts - Colts! (they actually match up well here and the 2nd time seeing them they are more prepared. KC is due for an early exit
6 Bills @ 3 Broncos - Broncos. They are a tough out at home.
5 LAC @ 4 Steelers - LAC. Steelers are kind of frauds. LAC looks more talented and better coached.

5 LAC @ 1 Pats - Pats! LAC gives them a ton of issues, but eventually losing your 2 starting OTs catches up to them.
3 Broncos @ 2 Colts - Colts - That D puts Denver's O to sleep and they do enough on offense to win.

2 Colts @ 1 Pats - Pats! Pats are well built to stop the Colts.

SB? Pats vs ????

The interesting thing is if the Pats make it nearly any team they are likely to face is a great story line somehow.

Rams? Is this the start of another Dynasty on the back of a Rams win and do the Pats get a 3peat off them this century?
Seattle? Is this their revenge game?
Eagles? Pats are 1-1 vs Eagles in Bowls. That win established our dynasty. This win (them beating us again) almost established theirs. 4 Appearances, 3 wins in 9 years. That is a borderline dynasty like Washington was.
Bucs? This years revenge game for them, but more importantly. Pats play the team that took Brady and arguably a championship chance away from them.

The only team that wouldn't be a great match up i think has a chance to make it is the Lions, but them making it be fun in general.

Bob,

As usual I much appreciate your very informative post. This season more than any I can remember is wide open in the AFC. They are taking advantage of everything in front of them. It's pretty obvious to see Vrabel is coach of the year. What he's done with Drake and taking over a 4 win team is just remarkable.

Others have expressed Buffalo.. but if I had my wish I'd rather see Pitt at home in Foxborough for the playoffs. Would love to revenge that loss earlier in the season and send Rodgers into retirement.

Me too. But i don't see the Steelers making it out of round 1 no matter who they play pretty much. The WC is going to be loaded with good teams in the AFC this year.

Did the Jets announce who will be starting??
It would be weird if they went with Tyrod Taylor after Fields won their only two games of the year.

Taylor changes the calculus slightly, but not enough to matter. He's a significantly worse runner, which is really the one way Justin Fields can beat you.

To answer your question though, no. Gang Green doesn't know either (just checked)

Bills fans call us arrogant.

I've never seen a more entitled, arrogant fanbase than the Buffalo Bills. At least the Patriots won 6 Super Bowls and played in 9 in 20 years. There were results to back up our confidence.

They still, today, just assume the Patriots will choke, the Bills are entitled to the division, and they're 'fine'. You know, based on Josh Allen's 6-5 playoff record.

If Drake Maye wins the Super Bowl this year, he's already better than Josh Allen.

Absolutely. If indy slips up and we continue on this momentum I can see us securing the #1 seed.. if say by week 16 it looks like we have it.. then I see no need to play key guys week 17.. start Dobbs and play PS guys.. if we don't get the 1 ,but get the 2.. then I still believe Vrabel rest his veterans because at that point we can't improve on our seeding. ?

If we go 14-3 this year then you need to win it all. You have no idea when you’ll be that good again despite having a good coach and a promising QB.

Interesting... fields carved us up a few years ago when he was with Chicago.. and that patiots defense was pretty solid.

With no Wilson. This may be a game solely becuase of fields running abilities that the zone is warranted. Bottle up Hall and take away the Jets confidence early. Get the W and get guys needed rest to continue on this path to the SB..

If it's Taylor, that might actually help the Patriots a lot, because they'll be able to play a lot more man coverage.
