It's entirely possible they come out 'flat', because they just played in an energy-drainer on the road against a good team. The turnaround in 3 days, I have no idea how anyone's going to be rehydrated enough in time, never mind physically recovered enough.

These Thursday games are ****ing ******ed, and they're awful every week.
Vrabel spoke emphasizing guys getting massages, light work out, treatment.. ect.. so yeah.. they suck ass these games..

Should have explained Quincy not quinnen.. yeah Quincy best days are behind him..
I think he still needs to be respected. He is coming back from an injury this year i believe and that is effecting him, but he was okay last game. I assume he will be okay this game. But yeah, his best days on behind him. First off i don't think he ever should have made AP1 in 2023. Pro bowl? Yeah whatever maybe? But All Pro? No. He was not THAT good. However i don't discount him at this point. I will assume some injury issues this year made him look worse than he is.

(correction... in this post i mentioned 2024 injuries. I meant 2025 when he missed some time with a shoulder injury... And to be clear he didn't play at pro bowl level in a healthy 2024 either. He was only good that year, not really good and certainly not close to elite. At least IMHO)

According to Zolak (take that for what it's worth), they had a 4-hour 'practice', but it sounded like it was all walkthrough.

He really did a good job with them light-practicing before the Tampa game, I think Vrabel's on top of this stuff, but it's tough.

It would be great if they kept their foot on the pedal and Maye gets his first 300 yard game and at least 4 td's .

That is the craziest thing. Maye is the best deep ball passer in the league and has more passes over 20 yards than any other QB except maybe Darnold. Yet, Maye has yet to have a 300 yard game in his career.

I hope the NFL thinks about Banning them at the Owners meeting this Off-season.

I will assume the worst and guess this is the start of an upward trend with him getting back into better form with some times removed from an injured 2024 and some injury issues this year.
Yeah.. that Jets D was stacked in 23.. but he's older now and while still effective not the same level of player as earlier in his career.. as it's said players don't get healthier as thier playing career goes on.. on us.. I would think with guys dealing with things like Barmore, Jennings they probably sit this one out.. we are deep on the defensive line so that helps.

I think as a championship level former player Vrabel has a good feel for how guys need to be handled when it comes to this stuff. Not that other coaches don't, but I think MV gets it.

Not even last year Rob?? Why do I think he did??

Vrabel said that himself on his weekly WEEI appearance on the Greg Hill show.. yeah.. it's very tough.. is why i have the utmost respect for all NFL players what they put thier bodies through to play a sport they love. The good thing is we are at home.. and guys can At least sleep in thier own beds and not have to travel..

The NFL Thursday games became derived off the traditional Thanksgiving day football. Add in Friday and Saturday games as well. It's something all the Owners are in lockstep with.. it's about the C.R.E.A.M

We have the total package with MV, former player, former NFLPA representative, all that there is what makes him such a complete HC.. he's not going to bust guys up with contracts.. he's knows the deal.. and guys want to play for him.. I can't honestly think of many other coaches that have the combination MV has to bring to coaching.

I hear you and I agree... If there's a trap game on this schedule, this is it.

I can't recall them getting "trapped" during the dynastic years, save for the 2004 Miami game and the Miracle in Miami.

Unfortunately, I can still just about remember this game (Hillis, Mangini, Colt McCoy ...)

This is just another game. Another challenge, another chance for Vrabel to teach the kids and build the team.

Winning on a short week while banged up and avoiding a let-down after a big road win is just another test in forging the team.
