If you perform an autopsy on Jones rookie season something does not jive. He excelled vs bad teams. Year 2, Patricia allowed Jones to take the next step and air it out like the big boys.

INTs followed in bunches. The Pats had to shut Jones down and go back to check downs and short throws. Jones does not have Mayes arm.
I'm intrigued to see how Joe Milton's Progress in the Offseason and TC. He has a Gun for an arm: that makes Elway's arm look like Pop Warner.

Really old. Name only. Was great previously. That is why the Chargers let him walk.

He is a rookie. Not great. Could develop.

Gonzo shut him down while running backwards. Embarrassing for Moore.

Not a chance. You are easily enamored with names not stats.

There should be no argument at QB, WR, OL or DL. The people running the draft at the Bears might be worse than BB.
Allen was traded to chi-town, Williams has a lame duck HC, DJ Moore had 1,300 yards last season with Justin at QB and has enough of resume for me to like him.
Odunze is better as a rookie than anything we have at WR. I agree with you on the people in the organization.

I agree with your points but if you watched the game last week there is no way to think the Bears WRs were running wide open. So the only explanation is that the Bears' WRs are not as good as expected. You do not seem to have readjusted your analysis.

Who throws the Football to the WRs?? Our WRs look like @ss with Brissett and somewhat competent with Maye. I would love to have D.J. Moore on this Team with Maye. Chicago should have kept J Fields who had a winning record before Tomlin handed the job to Wilson.

If denver loses and we win we are one game out of the 7 seed
Exactly.

It's about how you're playing, and whether you're improving and getting stronger. Mentally and physically.

This is an opportunity. But, I do think Denver is better than us right now.

For now.

That’s right didn’t he say I wouldn’t be surprised we saw them again, that was the talk of the town then, because that could only mean one thing.

Going off of the Rams recent wors, it looks like their offensive line is pretty rough right now.

Some points from a write-up of their last game (source: PFF Grades Reveal Struggles of Rams' Offense Against Dolphins)

- "Joe Noteboom allowed six total pressures, including one sack."

- " The Rams started three new offensive linemen, causing instability in pass protection. Despite losing, the Rams' receiving corps had solid performances, with four players earning top grades."

There's some struggle at C with them having benched Limmer for a returning Jackson, who came off of IR. He didn't seem to settle in last game and fans think Limmer has been more than good enough to keep the starting job.

Havenstine being injured has caused some issues to an offensive line that was seemingly otherwise stout. He's expected to be inactive this week as well. Their whole line has been shifting around because of injuries and suspensions.

The off on the right side with Noteboom, it seems. That being said, the Rams still had more offensive yards and first downs. The INT's really added up and drives stalled out.

On defense, the Rams were pretty good against the run. 30% of run plays were either a loss or kept to zero gain by the Rams line. Bobby Brown kinda took over in that Miami game. 70 yards total rushing.

They're gonna be a tough team and that's not considering if Stafford corrects course and they stabilize just an inch more at OL.

Our OL is going to yet again have their hands full.

How is their pass rush ? No major talent there right. I am hoping our Oline can handle them.

Have a feeling it might be a shootout .

The Pats have scored more than 21 points one time this year, and haven’t topped 30 points since October 2022 against the Browns. At this point I’m definitely not taking any bets that if it is a shootout, that the Pats offense will show up!

I think that a bit of the reason that Jones struggled in Year 2 was the change of OC's.
That and his personality. He came off as a crybaby.

Stafford is going to have a career day against this defense. He is still on top of his game and has both top receivers back. Phins D is sneaky good. Pats D not so much. I expect the Rams to win and cover.
Teams that win cover by a pretty high percentage. If I were a gambler I'd probably just pick who I thought would win and avoid the spreads.

Edit: Okay, I checked the numbers. After 10 weeks of the season there have been 152 games. In those 152 games the favorite won but didn't cover a mere 20 times. There were also 3 ties on the spread. That leaves 129 games where all you had to do was pick the winner.

I remember the players after the game saying they proved they could hang with them.
Yep, it made me a believer too. If not for a fumble by Smith as they were going for a score, which turned into 7 for the Lambs, they could have pulled that one off. As it was they won every game after that.

Ahhhhhhh, the good old days.

Allen is over the hill, Odunze couldn't separate in college and is worse in the pros, he's a slightly more talented Polk. Boutte and Douglas are better than Odunze.

DJ Moore is good but is frustrated with the QB and OC and walking off the field in the middle of the plays. Attitude is crap.

Patriots Offensive line is 32nd in pass block win rate.

Rams 4 lineman all rank top 50 in NFL in pass rush win rate

Byron Young-46th
Braden Fiske-37th
Kobie Turner-26th
Jared Verse-8th

HUGE test for the line on pass plays this week. Rams have trouble covering in the secondary but mismatch up front could make that moot.
If line holds up Maye will have a day but big mismatch there.
