I like pop in the slot.. like how Buffalo uses Shikir. Pop can beat any DB off the line. We absolutely need a big time WR.. we couldn't trade thrornton he had no value not even a 7th rounds pick. There is another WR on IR I like who showed something in camp Jaque Jackson.
This ..we should be slicing and dicing with pop in slot on 1st downs and get those 5 or 6 yards . This will also prevent them from stacking the box and play run defense . That way when rham runs we actually have lanes open and occasional play action to get the right ends involved on larger and deeper plays up the middle.

Toofy for OC.

Sixth. Pats were 'home' team in the two Super Bowls. We're 3-3 in Foxborough.

This will be a much tougher game for the Pats to win if the Dolphins win tonight. Rams would be looking to get back on track.
Oh man I can’t believe I didn’t catch that, especially since I was at the first one. Once the Rams lost last night I thought damn.

The regular season game in 2001 vs the Rams was the one that told me the Pats were for real and could win it all if they got to the playoffs.
I remember the players after the game saying they proved they could hang with them.

Rams are relatively healthy. I was very surprised at last nights game. Miami got a lot of pressure on Stafford. 4 sacks and a bunch of hits! If we can’t pressure him then their WR,s will have a field day. Cupp is still one of the best and with Puca, they can be a nightmare together. We need the running game to have their best game of the year. The o-line needs to be better than average this game for the Pats to have a chance. I hope we can win this game but right now it’s a toss up. The rams are probably going to be pissed that they lost last night and will definitely not be looking past this game. It might have been different had they won last night .

Gonzo needs to limit one and we double the other can't let their Third and Fourth WR's beat us.

Bravo!! Excellent post! for the life of me I cannot understand why AVPs not doing that especially on 1st down. Getting 5,6 yards on 1st down keeps us out of 3rd and long situation. We have the QB utilizing Drake and pop on first down gets the offense in rhythm and keeps the chains moving.

Maybe it's execution . I think we mirror the bills now on talent especially on WR and we should essentially be copying their playbook on what they do with shakir and replacing it for Pop.

I would go one step further and for all first down snaps have DD, Marcus , rham /gibson, hooper and henry as the offensive set. And have Marcus and Douglas run wild on each side in the slot . There is no way anyone can catch them and you can do freaking anything with that speed and combo. We have nothing to lose. Unleash the creativity AVP. I will call it the twin peak package .

Yes! I've mentioned Marcus should be involved on offense more his speed is electric. I never really thought highly of him as a CB..I love him more as PR, KR and scat back on offense. Hooper I really like and I believe he should be be resigned in FA. AVP feels like to me sometimes he calling plays as if Brissett is still the QB. Drake can ad lib, do things off scripts that an OC cannot put in a play book.

Gonzo is a top 5 CB I say he's even all-pro caliber. Put him on pucua and hope J. Jones can limit cupp.. probably is thier 3rd and 4th WRs are better than our 3rd and 4th CBs. Marco wilson....

I suspect that you will continue to be disappointed when our future top 5 Defense has Marcus Jones as our starting nickel back, with zero reps on Offense. I strongly agree with team's approach not to have a starting CB and top PR also take reps on Offense. Marcus Jones is getting better and better on Defense. I want him to stay there.

I said the Bears roster as a whole is better than rams. Unless you don't consider a defense is part of an NFL roster
The Rams QB is better, the Rams WRs are better, the Rams OL is better, and the Rams defensive line is younger and better. The Bears roster is not better as a whole. Not a chance.

Why do you think the Bears roster as a whole is better?

What a waste it would be to make a starting CB into a scat back. Let's be clear, you have to choose. This isn't the 30's. Marcus isn't playing Offense, Defense and special teams. There is no question that he is our punt returner, so we can have him as our #3 or #4 WR next year or as a starting CB.

I love MJ. However as a rookie in 2022 all his did was make plays and score TDs when inserted on offense. He struggles against bigger WRs as he's only 5'9.. why covington continues to put him on 6'4 WRs is head scratching. He'd a slot CB not a boundary CB as I've said he's pressed into his role becuase our depth CB'S suck.

2025 patriots Defense starting players
DL white, draft pick, Godchaux ,Barmore
LB Tavai, Bentley, Jennings, FA speed demon edge player
CB gonzo, Alexander or Sneed, j. Jones, dial

S peppers, Dugger, marpu

Just my wishlist

Allen? Odunze? DJ Moore?.... nucua is a beast and cupp is great.. however I'm taking the Bears WRs along with komet at TE. Bears skill positions are better and their defense is better. Yes Williams is rookie who was given the job on draft night never had to earn it like Drake did.

Stafford is a great vet and champion so no argument there from me at QB.

You forgot Wolf GM of the year.

Really old. Name only. Was great previously. That is why the Chargers let him walk.
He is a rookie. Not great. Could develop.
DJ Moore?
Gonzo shut him down while running backwards. Embarrassing for Moore.

Not a chance. You are easily enamored with names not stats.

There should be no argument at QB, WR, OL or DL. The people running the draft at the Bears might be worse than BB.

I think that a bit of the reason that Jones struggled in Year 2 was the change of OC's.
If you perform an autopsy on Jones rookie season something does not jive. He excelled vs bad teams. Year 2, Patricia allowed Jones to take the next step and air it out like the big boys.

INTs followed in bunches. The Pats had to shut Jones down and go back to check downs and short throws. Jones does not have Mayes arm.
