Becoming a good NFL QB is not a linear process. To be successful in the long term players need to continue to learn and adjust to how other teams are attacking them from day 1 until their last game in the NFL.Harken back to Mac Jones 1st NFL season for evidence how it all can go south in year # 2.
NFL teams had all off season to break down his rookie season film. All it takes is 1 out of the 31 teams to get it right on ways to defend your QB sensation. Brady struggled in year 2 after Marty Schottenhiemer figured out that Brady was less accurate if you forced him to move off his spot. Brady adjusted his game and got better, but not every guy is like that.
Yeah, if they can show any type of consistency, then I think there's a chance for this team to get better. If we go from random win to a lot of disorganized losses, it's hard to believe it's ever going to get better under these coaches.I expect the Pats to revert to looking like one of the worst teams in the league, as they've completely lacked any type of consistency from game to game.

I like pop in the slot.. like how Buffalo uses Shikir. Pop can beat any DB off the line. We absolutely need a big time WR.. we couldn't trade thrornton he had no value not even a 7th rounds pick. There is another WR on IR I like who showed something in camp Jaque Jackson.Glad they are moving Pop Douglas around more and using him in the Slot. I would like Polk and Baker to finish on a strong note. That said we shouldn't pass on a Big Time WR in FA he will only help them. I expect Thornton to be released after the season his his ship has sunk here. Give that opportunity to some other player in TC.
I said the Bears roster as a whole is better than rams. Unless you don't consider a defense is part of an NFL rosterBears OL is better than the Rams OL? You think we will have 10 or 11 sacks this week?
To think we could have added Shikir and Doubs from Green Bay much later instead of boney useless Tyquan in 22. I am sure Wolf is eyeing some of those Green Bay WR's if they don't get tagged by them in FA 26. I would go after the Speedy Watson or Doubs.I like pop in the slot.. like how Buffalo uses Shikir. To your point, it is most encouraging that Maye is such a natural leader. There are two kinds of QB's in the NFL. Those that make mistakes that result in their team getting frustrated and giving up and those that make mistakes that result in the team rallying to overcome the impact. This is a common occurrence in the league now, week after week. With the vast amount of film and data available, it doesn’t take until the offseason to fully evaluate a player. Maye doesn’t have many weaknesses, and that’s what makes him so impressive.
I don’t have any major concerns about Maye being exposed. His game doesn’t scream that he’s not ready. And he’s always going to be driven to improve, that’s just his nature.
Agreed with everything! Here's the list of FA WRs for 2025 FA. Yeah Tyquan was the last bust 2nd rounder at WR. I don't see polky-mon going that route. Doubs has been having some issues in GB he would be on on my trade wishing well along with Alexnader from GB.To think we could have had Shikir and Doubs from Green Bay much later instead of boney useless Tyquan in 22. What Iove about Drake is his abilities to make plays in spite of whatever is transpiring on offense. Wether it's protections break down or WRS not making plays. Guy is just a gamer. To your point, it is most encouraging that Maye is such a natural leader. There are two kinds of QB's in the NFL. Agreed some posters have alluded to them being loaded. I beg to differ. Chicago, Jets for example have more all around talent than the Rams do. Both those teams are just underperforming. Last time we played the Rams in 2020 they molly whopped us.Rams have pedestrian players on both sides of the ball. Pats could win this one.
True. Also Mac as QB didn't pose the threat that Drake does. Drake his game is Allen-esque. What I'm noticing is teams have to no spy him to keep him from getting outside the pocket that is huge for the offense.. Drake can throw on the run, throw guys open make plays whenever nothing is there. As a rookie it's so dam impressive. Once Drake gets bondafide guys on the outside he will be an all pro!Harken back to Mac Jones 1st NFL season for evidence how it all can go south in year # 2.

The Jets are planning on paying D Adams 34 Mill next year they can keep him. Can't wait for A Rodgers to jump ship on them. It's unfortunate Goodwin and Diggs are coming off ACL's I hope they are quick healers.Agreed with everything! Here's the list of FA WRs for 2025 FA. Yeah Tyquan was the last bust 2nd rounder at WR. Godwin has sustain some serious injuries over the last few seasons.. he won't be playing until some time next season. Diggs as well. Both are aging players. I like the doubs idea you mentioned. I want someone young to grow with Drake. Go figure having a guy that literally be a number 1 option for Drake does so much for all the other guys.. especially pop. So next season you have KB, Boutte, pop, Polk and baker are the sure fire guys. Add in a tee Higgins and this off could become explosive don't forget Henry at TE and I really like hooper too.The Jets are planning on paying D Adams 34 Mill next year they can keep him. I know they were worse earlier in the year but the line Pass Blocking still isn't great, Maye doing more with less, than every rookie QB
Need to keep the Rams from winning right away and let Maye cook.
