I started thinking how many times have the Rams visited the Patriots, I know all the years I’ve been going to games it hasn’t been many. I did a search and this will be the 8th time the Rams have played here.
The regular season game in 2001 vs the Rams was the one that told me the Pats were for real and could win it all if they got to the playoffs.

The Rams are not the dysfunctional Bears. If the Pats cant pressure Stafford I expect Nacua or Kupp to have a big day, Gonzo cant cover them both. We need to run the ball and eat the clock because we cant win a shoot out. We probably need a turnover or two as well. I think the Pats should have a decent week of practice coming off a win and you know the saying about any given week, I just wouldn't put money on it.

Big test for our defense, we’ll get a better idea if theyve truly turned a corner. Obviously not going to duplicate what happened in Chicago, but if they can hold this offense to 20 pts and give the offense a fair chance it will be another positive.
Slow cupp and you limit thier offense. So if the practice squad defense shows up we will loose again. Would be nice for polk to get going and an actual baker sighting would be welcomed!

That TD was a good sign Real I'm staying positive.

Yeah brother I have hope and optimism for him.. the offense can open up more if he gets going. My guy baker too!

Kupp is no longer their #1 its now Nacua. He has been the go to for most of the season. Last night he caught 9 for 98 yds, Kupp caught 7 for 80. They can beat you with either guy.

Maye looks like he was the right call.

But, we really need to wait until year # 2 to have a better sense if he really is the guy.
We are in the limbo period where the team needs to take the leap of faith that Maye is the franchise QB and invest in other players before he fully proves himself on the field. Best case a young core gets to develop together.

Harken back to Mac Jones 1st NFL season for evidence how it all can go south in year # 2.

NFL teams had all off season to break down his rookie season film. All it takes is 1 out of the 31 teams to get it right on ways to defend your QB sensation. Brady struggled in year 2 after Marty Schottenhiemer figured out that Brady was less accurate if you forced him to move off his spot. Brady adjusted his game and got better, but not every guy is like that.

I think that a bit of the reason that Jones struggled in Year 2 was the change of OC's.

Glad they are moving Pop Douglas around more and using him in the Slot. I would like Polk and Baker to finish on a strong note. That said we shouldn't pass on a Big Time WR in FA he will only help them. I expect Thornton to be released after the season his his ship has sunk here. Give that opportunity to some other player in TC.

Pats open as 5.5 point home underdogs.

They can be run on, although that part of their defense has gotten better lately.

Stafford is having a season like his team is, below average for his standards in 2024. He's 9:7 TD/INT with an 87 rating but excluding the Vikings game he's only 5:6 TD/INT with a rating of 84. Their OL has had some injuries so that might have something to do with that.

Aaron Donald retired so don't need to worry about him thankfully. Obviously Kupp should be a menace. Ditto for Puca, he went 9-98 against the Dolphins.

Haven't watched enough Rams games to know for sure so just by looking at their numbers K Williams and Stevenson look really similar.

If the Pats win this game, they'll probably need to score more than 19 points.
