The critics have blasted them all season, but Sunday night the Patriots defense proved that they really are better than people think.

Current Patriots Twitter Feed:

@ryjacques U watch stupid. they pay nfl because you watch. so stop watching. do us both a favor.

@rtmcnamara @ryjacques Then why you writing to me? I didn't write u.

@ricked82 Not that I've heard of. I doubt it.

👀👀👀👀 this was my show back in the day lol https://t.co/PRT0rWrFqm

@PeterIBreen it's weird because he knows football. Just a strange blind spot

@ricked82 By every statistical measure, any analytic, Ryan and Brady were 1-2 this season.

RT @MiamiHEAT: #HEATwin ! Your @MiamiHEAT defeat the Golden State Warriors 105-102 for their 4th consecutive victory! #HEATwin https://t.c…

RT @PlayersTribune: "Pats fans y’all are spoiled. Yeah, I said it. Spoiled. Winning will do that." https://t.co/PFxrazZJfH

@MarcusPapas he whiffed on at least back-to-back plays, but I haven't gotten there yet

Did you know that Mike was asked to coach? 92. ... 93. ... https://t.co/F4wsYrzaS0

Patriots knew exactly how Steelers would react, to the point that Edelman never stopped moving, started walking to new spot.

RT @SportsCenter: Tom Brady is on the cover for ESPN The Magazine's Super Bowl Preview Issue. https://t.co/u5NKMkgtbw

That was the Patriots toying with, out-coaching the Steelers. One team was playing chess, other checkers.

PIT had something cooking when out of I form, 11 went in motion (staple play). Then Brady audibled Jordan & NE went spread, 26y pass to 15

I have just the book for you FromDarknesstoDynasty https://t.co/bPawT2pkag

    Yes
And he has not learned when it's better to "miss" on a pass when his guy is covered.

Slamming Schotty here why on 3rd & 1 with an effective run game you go empty backfield???

Hate it when the Pats do this too.

I see Shotty still sucks as OC. Passing on short yardage situations when Jackson is getting tough yards for them. What a dumbass.

The logic here is that if you are going to throw, and make a quick throw, you aren't concerned with the blitz, and it puts 5 receivers immediately into the pattern. No doubt if you are going to throw to get 1 yard, it is the best way to do it.

    Yes

And this should get me banned, but Sanchez is playing well today  although the sudden disappearance of the StL pass rush may be part of it

I'm torn right now over wanting the Jest to win or lose. A win would give them confidence and would make it all that much sweeter when the Pats (hopefully) crush them thursday night.

Yeah that's pretty stupid. As bad as Cassel is, he's still far better than Quinn.
