I agree with this list as the 10 that make the 53.
If they carry 9 - then Jacobs would be off - and go on the PS, along with Sow, Robinson
The reality is that there will probably be a fair number of game-day PS elevations for several of the depth linemen.

I agree that Brown and Wallace haven't "done' very well". The key is that there aren't two players who have played better enough to replace them.

Wallace is 3rd-string at both LG & RT. He's already in the process of being replaced.

The 6th IOL choices seems to be
Strange
Sow
Risner
a different addition
no one
They need one backup who can play center… that leaves Strange, Brown and Alec Lindstrom.

Strange is being pushed out, but Brown by all accounts got shellacked in the last joint practice.

This leaves Lindstrom, crawling back on their knees to Strange or them crossing their fingers and hoping a center cuts loose after 53 man cutdowns.

I don’t know how healthy Sow is, but he can only swing between guard and tackle, he has no flexibility to play center. As it is they only want to play him on the right side, which is dumb… they need him to play both sides or hold onto him until Onwenu’s contract is up.

I can't figure out why folks prefer Jacobs to Lowe.

If he is healthy enough to trade, then he is better than Jacobs
Along with Bryant and Sow Jacobs is our only other option for good tackle play behind our starters. Lowe has stunk for 3 years now… not sure why anyone thinks he will suddenly put it together now.

It's better, but it's still well below average, and it remains the team's #1 weakness. Progress, I think has been made, but the O-line's rebuild began at an historically low level, so one year's progress ain't gonna get the job done. I don't think any other assessment is reasonable at this point. Any chance Drake could play QB in some sort of Kevlar bubble wrap?

hmm

I think that we have a NFL quality starting OL, well below average, but NFL-quality.

And, yes, we look to improve more next year, and probably again in 2027. The OL is a large part of the team and started with one of the three worst OL's in the NFL.

We can win 10 games with a significantly below average OL. Much depends on game-planning, health, OL position coaching and QB play.

I have zero "worries" regarding the rest of the Offense: WR, TE, RB, and FB. Obviously, they could be better, but they are NOT an impediment to winning 10 or more games.

I would agree with this, except that I would say, "We can win 8 games with a significantly below average OL."

The fact that there are still very good guards just bobbing about in the FA soup, while we cross our fingers on guys like Sow, is frustrating. I’m hoping they sign/trade for someone before game 1.

I am not seeing a below average OL.
they can be better than average with scheme and more experience playing together

Did J. Hannah retire from his day job yet?? Just sayin….

If our Ol is better than average, we are competing to be long into the playoffs and a top contender for the division.

I still don't see a clear set of IOL's

IOL (we are set at center with three who can play the position)
Wilson, Bradbury, Onwenu, Brown

AND THEN WE NEED BACKUPS AT LG AND RG
Wallace?
Strange?
Sow?
acquisition?

For me, I think STRANGE is the most valuable backup LG. Of course, we could replace him with Risner or another acquisition.

And, personally, I would like to see us choose the best RG backup available. Is it Sow? Is It Wallace? Is it Robinson? Is it an acquisition?

The situation isn't terrible. We need a backup OG.
