We are on to the Heat and Jimmy Butler.

5th playoff loss at home and quitting at the end. Switch coaches and this is a Celtics sweep

If I were you guys, I’d send some threats to these refs. Probably placed a few bets on us tonight. We’ve gotten away with an absurd amount of traveling and then that shuffle by Strus right there should have been called.

The other question you should have is why Tatum has completely disappeared in the 4th quarter the last two games.

Don’t worry. If we win this series and advance to play the Lakers, we’ll get teabagged by Davis and ****ed without lube by the refs.

The next adjustment better be to bench Horford. He's cooked. Maybe 15 minutes a game.

It hurts to be a Celtics fan. This is not a team. It's just a collection of names.

The biggest problem with the Cs is the idea that Jaylen Brown is really a great player. In the fourth, Tatum gets smothered by great defenders…after carrying the team the whole game. Do you know how good you have to be for all-nba second team? Guys like (old) LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard. and Jimmy Butler are in that class. Guys who will take over a game and who are clearly a cut above.

Jaylen Brown…what exactly does he do? How is he one of the 10 best players in the NBA? Averaging 26/27 ppg in today’s NBA is like averaging 22/23 ppg twenty years ago. He takes a lot of shots. His entire game is driving and shooting. He can’t create plays, make passes to setup teammates, come up with a huge defensive stop (like drawing a game changing charge, etc.). He’s a below average 3 pt shooter and below average free throw shooter. In crunch time, the team has very little confidence he can be “the guy.” Miami seems to understand this. Likely he’ll just force himself into a low percentage fadeaway. He goes 7/23 but it’s so much worse than that because there’s nothing he brings to offset his bad shooting night.

Too much pressure on Tatum…I understand why he wanted to trade Brown for Durant.

Celtics still like a +200 in Vegas, so it’s not like they’re really done, but why do I find myself subconsciously rooting for the gritty, charismatic Heat, especially Butler, by the end of the every game?

Erik Spoelstra really is the BB of the NBA. Playing against him is a pain in the ass and he finds talent under rocks. Give him smart players and he will make them ballers. For all that the NBA has turned into lazily chucking three pointers you have to respect this Miami team.

If I were a betting man I'd put my 10 person tent on the Heat the next two games....I could use a 4 bedroom beach house...

Because they play b-ball like the Pats play football. A full game and not a second less. See my post above.

Miami does the basics well, a foreign concept to Boston.

Pretty sure Brown is playing hurt, but yeah he was awful

Heat vs. Denver for the title is a pretty compelling matchup.

Fatigue plays a part for sure. He needed someone like Brown to have a Murray game where we're not talking about Tatum for once at the end of the game because someone else has popped off for 20

I predicted the heat would take game 1. I'm not even a little surprised. If they don't come into game 2 focused for the entirety of the game they will be 0-2 before the day is over. The heat aren't here to play games and f*** around. They are going for the throat tonight.
We let a lesser team come and take 2 games on our home floor.... where is the pride.. if we had more guys with grant Williams mentality this team could be Championship caliber.. right now we are getting flat out punked by Miami no other way to say it.

You let guys that wouldn't start on other NBA teams come in and get to the rim at will. I've never seen this in a "Championship " team..

At this point hard to see them winning a game let alone coming back in the series. I hope I'm wrong!
