Unless there's a Deacon Jones( I loved him) to draft most of us believe BB will trade down. Can't tie up that much money on one rookie. We need to keep Moss.

Dallas coould be a trade partner. They have 2 #1's (theirs and Cleveland). Other than that who else has 2 #1's ?

They can always trade to a pick in the teens and a pick in next years draft to a team which is not going anywhere. Its just a vicious cycle man.

The Jets need to beat the Dolphins (who will not win 2 game) and pick up another win or two. How sweet would it be during draft day, with all those Jet fans in attendance, to hear (World Champion) New England Patriots called before the Jets. As the college season winds down, we need to start making a list of the top five players. Question, anyone think Matt Ryan makes the top five?

The Jets strategy may be to lose the rest of their games, so they can get the 1st pick next year. Mangini is lucky, he has reason for losing.

I hope BB takes the high pick and trade for another player that he really wants from another team and bank a bunch of smaller picks for futures.

Just like how moss came to us on a windfall, well this time we actually have the luxury of grabbing specific high calibre players from other teams.

i want us to use the pick. when will be the next time we have a shot at a top 5 talent. we have some needs on d, but i would love if mcfadden fell to us. in the offense the pats have already, a mcfadden, maroney, morris combo would be devastating. that would remind me of the '78 team with sam bam, horace ivory, don calhoun, andy johnson etc. that was a great running team that had my favorite pats receiver, carlos pennywell, and my favorite pats lb, rod shoate.

If we want to trade down we'll be able to. End of story. Will we get "historical market value" ? Probably not. But Belioli have shown they don't give a damn how their trade matches up to others - if they did they wouldn't have taken a #4 and future #1 for a #1 last year.

That #4 turned into Randy Moss and that future #1 is looking like a top 5 pick, so I'd argue that the Pats got PLENTY of value out of that trade!
