Was it really a week ago today?

Feels like last sunday was soooooo long ago. I'm surprised at how fast I've gotten over the game. I've been dealing with my Mom being in the hospital and it's put a lot of things into perspective for me. I'm still disappointed in the outcome but I feel really optimistic about the 2012 season.

For me it felt like it was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Maybe my mind is trying to block it out.

Hear that, brother....lost two close friends the past two weeks, another in the hospital with brain cancer, moms is 90 and a constant worry and every friggin' major expense I have for the year comes due right about now...no football means too much time to sit and stew...free agency and the draft can't get here fast enough

I feel like I'm stuck in a time warp. Depression turned briefly to anger on Thursday. Friday I felt recovery slowly easing in. But last Sunday's game has been at the forefront of my mind all ... week ... long. :bricks:

I am 100% over it and have been since Wednesday. Let it go man, life goes on. Monday is the hangover day, by Monday night the hangover has basically worn off, by Tuesday things are back to normal but I am still talking about it a little bit, then by Wednesday it is in the past.

It was a VERY tough week for me living in NYC. I got thru it but wasn't over the game yet. So I forced myself to watch the game again today because I was there last Sunday and had yet to see the tv version. I actually found myself getting nervous like i didn't already know the outcome. I'm sure that sounds stupid to some of you, but i couldn't help it. Anyway, as soon as they showed BB congratulate Coughlin on the field, I stopped it and deleted it and told myself that I'm not allowed to think of "what could've been" last Sunday again. It's over. I need to accept that now.

I really hope we have a strong offseason. I'm tired of feeling like this.

I was crushed for a couple days after the loss but I healed rather quickly and for the most part, I'm over it. Maybe I'm hurting more than I think but I really avoid things like ESPN/NFL network that can bring those feelings back. There is nothing out there that brings me down more than the thought of Eli Manning beating us in consecutive Super Bowls, especially when it was our game to lose for most of that game.

More than anything, I just want the new season to start. I compare how I'm feeling to fasting for a few days, then walking into an all you can eat buffet, then being forced out before eating anything. I'm hungry and I want back in DAMNIT!

I went golfing with Les Miles and I felt better.

I am looking forward to next season! It will be fun to see how this team responds. Week 1 seems like a long ways away but the time goes fast. It will be here faster than we think.

It absolutely feels so weird that the game seems so long ago. Can't wait for the 2012 offseason to start (FA, draft, etc)

I'm completely over it. The 2007 Pats, 2010 Bruins, and 2010 Celtics have conditioned me to accept crushing defeat within a few days.

That's where I'm at also. At this point I'm used to the Pats handing me a gut punch loss. We've had the best run of any sports city ever but it's also included some of the worst, and the absolute worst, losses ever. I'm still happy the bruins won last year.

The Walking Dead started back up..i am over it

Great show... Although I've been so excited every Sunday for playoff games that the Walking Dead tonight seemed pretty anti-climatic. Probably because it was really annoying to wait a few months after only 6 episodes this season.

big part of it

What happened a week ago???

I have no idea what anyone is talking about??

this was the type of loss i will never get over just like 07. i cant watch any high lights of either game. the only way for me to feel better about it is if they win another sb.

?If we had lost to SF I would have been at peace the next day.

But losing to the Giants and a NY team to boot, made it hurt much worse. Still, it was a fantastic season and while getting the 31st pick is the absolute worst, it's better than getting a top 20 pick.

Hate to say it but I'm almost completely over it....I saw that sound effects clip on Tom Brady this morning and that got me a little riled up but I do feel a lot better. Not to mention spring training starts or has already started for some teams. GO SOX

Oh lord...Don't remind me...:cry2:

I just watched the first three quarters again today. What a opportunity squandered. Both teams made mistakes, Giants got the better of the breaks. Other than that a fairly even game. I hated watching that WW drop again but Branch didn't exactly shine on the next play either.

ETA: I've never watched SB42 again.

I've watched numerous highlight packages of SB46 without incident. I have never and will never watch a single play from SB42. Just completely different levels of losing.
