more on lindsey: Chip Lindsey's Long and Winding Schematic Road to Chapel Hill

maye ran two different offenses in college, learned a new one last year.......he's a film junky, known to be a student of the game, a dedicated, cerebral QB........

i'm not worried about running a new scheme next year, i just want personnel that allows the kid to maximize his talents

I think Pep Hamilton is worth a look at. OC not sure, but as an assistant then perhaps yes.
He wouldn't be my first choice, but insofar as guys who could build a system and wouldn't be poached after 1 year, it's a choice. Something to put in the rolodex. As you said, probably a better assistant hire.

If they fire Wolf they have to go through a full search, same if they bring someone above Wolf.
Bob Kraft is not firing his underboss Wolf.

what did Maye run in college? Chip Lindsey was his OC, Shotgun spread, air raid one year, more balanced attack year two? Any idea what type of terminology he used? does his offense have any connection to pro-style offenses, or completely different schematically, in terminology, in philosophy

Maye looked so much better this year than in the college offense he ran

Sounds interesting but I would like him with another guy: I want two OC's with Potential.

Can we get a combination of those Guys?? I would love us to have Josh McCown and Nick Caley. I wouldn't mind Tommy Rees with either of those combo to learn. I love the Mike LaFleur connection too.
Great list or just Josh McDaniels.
But I would love lafluer or Mccown.

Good.

McDaniels took the year off to visit college programs such as Ohio State and USC to pick their brains about offense. That suggests that McDaniels wants to update his offense when he gets back into coaching.
Josh McDaniels is still my First Choice.

I'm not sure about that since nobody in the Patriots front office has the official GM title.

Who was our Pass Game Coordinator?? He shouldn't have a job. Guys running the wrong routes not stopping where they should: was just abysmal.

Wasn’t it Evan Rothstein?

Who Patricia brought over with him from Detroit?

The Krafts really paid in 2024 for going cheap with the Coordinators and Position Coaches. They got what the paid for: Quality Guys should be the Mo for 2025.

I think you are overestimating Bob's affinity for Wolf.

If Vrabes thinks Wolf is not helping the org be better hes gone. Period.
You wish that's how it is.

The Godfather is not ceding control of the Patriots family business to anyone. Bob is making money. The right time to get rid of Wolf and his soldiers is now to bring in Vrabels people. The Godfather allowed Vrabel confidant Cowden into the family, but that's it.

They say he’s a brilliant coach.
Really?? I beg to differ.

just saying he came here and likely had to learn all new terminology this year, and the cerebral side of things seemed to be a strength.....getting an OC who will stick and is solid and getting talent around him is more of a concern than WHAT offense the new OC runs, imho
