I really dont think our running game is a problem..we have 3(now 4) backs who you are going to split carries between...where is Vereen going to get these touches right now?? obviously for the power running you use BJGE/Ridley...and woodhead/faulk on those no huddle drills because they can run routes like receivers and catch the ball

you're going to trust woodhead/faulk on those 3rd down situations based on past play/experience...we saw brady go to woodhead twice on that final drive..not many teams have a good 3-4back rotation

right now, no one has fully taken that #3 WR spot and it is more of a need for production and in the race for who wins snaps...previously Edleman/Ocho were sharing snaps....and with Price finally healthy and starting to get on the field he should be in the race to take some snaps...and IMO he has more potential to help us if he can be productive...I expect we'll see him out there for more snaps after the Bye

Price for sure as we need some help there incase of injury or even a off day by one of the top guys.

Vereen i am not sure - the main thing we ask is blitz pickup as a 3rd down back and i will be worried if he is in there. I saw benny pick up DL and DE this year and i am happy with that. ridley has not been asked to do it.

i am hoping is benny is back, he seems to have suddenly become more patient and knows how the blocking is talking place. He know what his lineman are doing and punching it in.

Price. Ocho cannot be relied on as a backup. The kid has shown some potential during pre-season games.. Let's see what he can do.. I'd put him in when we play the Fins in Foxboro...

we have at RB right now: BJGE, Ridley, Woody, Faulk...

BJGE: pounder, b/w tackles guy
Ridley: b/w tackles guy w/ home run potential
Woody: change of pace back great in open field
Faulk: 3rd down back that can catch like a WR

we dont need a 5th RB that badly, but our offense could really use a guy to spread the field, and go intermediate to deep, our passing game is awesome now, with a pass like that to go deep our passing game would only improve

if you dont believe me, go watch the replays for when we played the Boys in 07 and go see what we did to them w/ the passing game....w/ a deep threat on this years team, we would be unstoppable

He's not one of the two choices, but I'm most eager to see how Faulk looks.

what the hell kind of question is this...I'm eager to see all the running backs and receivers play...I'm a Pats fan....jeezus

Gonna go with Price. I still don't understand the Vereen pick. With the other players on the roster I don't know how that kid will ever see playing time.

Y'all need to get over this Price thing.

I think the skill-set that Vereen could potentially have is both harder to find and more of a need on this (and just about any) team, so I'll go with him. All else being equal, I'll generally take RB depth over receiver depth, given how RBs tend to wear down.

Not to mention that Faulk is probably retiring next season leaving a spot for Vereen to move in and contribute more and would be good to have him play some time in the 2nd half of the season to get ready for a more prominent role in 2012.

Exactly. I'm not sure that we really need either one of them this year. It's more likely that we'll need Vereen, I suppose, since RB injuries are more common than WR injuries, but for the most part I'm just looking for signs that either one of them will be good in the future.

Vereen. Price is starting to look like a pile of trash.

Neither, you only have so many touches for the O... Price and Vereen are good depth, with Faulk active may want to consider redshirting Vereen for the rest of the season. When Faulk retires, he could play a bigger role.

These are nice problems and have to do with our depth..

Based on what, exactly? The fact that he looked really slick during the 2nd Miami games last season and this year's preseason but coaches hasven't put him in the but instead have thrown in Chad, who has sucked?

Based on the fact that he hasn't played. He looked alright against the Dolphins but so did Brandon Tate. The Deadfins clearly didn't give a crap that day. Anyone remember when Edelman had that 100 yard preseason game? Good players find a way to play. Price can't get on the field, not looking good.

Price has also been injured since the first pre-season game....that killed his snaps especially once he came back.

he was able to find the field for a couple snaps against the cowboys and im sure he will start to get more in the coming games

Vereen has hardly played any snaps....while ridley has carved out a niche...does that mean that Vereen is a pile of trash?

right now, the Pats are trying to get something out of Ocho so he's ahead on the depth chart...combined with the fact that they play heavy 2 TE sets leaving very few snaps for the #3 WR

I'll pass judgment on Price when I see him on the field, not before.

Price, if he ever gets into the line-up. A lot of the sacks on Brady these last two weeks have been coverage sacks, as our WR's have had trouble getting open quickly enough on a consistent basis forcing Brady to hold the ball longer. I think all of the sacks in the Jets game were coverage sacks, and many in the Cowboys game were as well.

One has to wonder if Price and Vereen,Both apparently healthy
are either simply not ready to assume a larger role?Maybe struggling in practice?.

Both I believe have been healthy invisibles,Price did get in on one play in the Cowboys game.
