I can't speak for Bella*Chick, but I'm giggling my ass off watching a bunch of people lose their minds because a bunch of talking heads on ESPN are doing exactly what should have been expected of them.
Ratings, ratings, ratings. Money, money, money. Thats what its all about. Entertainment tonight comes to the NFL. Pretty soon Nancy Grace will be doing a he (BB) looks guilty to me rant. The thing I don't get is, regardless of your opinion on the worth of the tapes/logistics of in-game use, did ESPN not see the tape that leaked way back in September 07? Are they really shocked at what they're seeing? Isn't this what we knew it was.
i'm glad you find it funny, but I don't. if you don't get how badly this is hurting us outside of this board and New England, if you don't get how tarnished all that we've believed in over the past eight years is in the eyes of the rest of the country, then I don't know what to say.
Someone in the Boston media should go back onto the HBO shows Carter did and compare what he said on those shows to what he is saying now. They seem to be, you know, totally differing opinions.
Ummm . . . it's not changing many minds. The folks that hated the Pats yesterday only got new "reasons" to do so today. The folks that think this is all #@(_%& are unlikely to be swayed by it.
Actually, I thought they contained clear stolen shots of coaches signals taken from the sidelines.
Instead, all I'm seeing is cheerleader porn, poor camerawork, and endzone splits.
More convincing than ever before that the Patriots did NOTHING wrong until the time when the memo went out in 2006.
Exactly right. And, where is the Patriots response?
Where is the Patriots' minute by minute, tape by tape analysis of what we are seeing (they clearly knew what was coming)?.
Where is the Patriots carefully prepared refutation of the lies they knew would be hurled at them this morning?
Where is the website where the media who want to be objective can find this analysis and response and be spoonfed the patriots point of view, updated every 15 minutes or so?
Where are the commentators or former NFL players or coaches, working for the Patriots, who are available to the media via a satellite hookup or sitting in a New York hotel, to give the Patriots point of view?
In 2008, if you concede the media platforms and megaphones to your enemies, you will get creamed. That is what the Pats have done and I'm really sick of it. Why aren't they fighting back in real time? Why do they let these lies go unchallenged? I'm starting to feel that I have more invested in their exoneration than they do and I'm starting to wonder why I care so much.

they should have started their defense on Monday morning after the Jets game. it's way too late now.

Schlereth is saying our INTs of Kordell in the '02 AFCC were because we broke down the tape at halftime. Someone please remind this idiot that the Pats taped DEFENSIVE SIGNALS.
You could not be more wrong. The Patriots have stated that this was a standard practice they employed. There is no more room for interpretation. If they make a big deal out of it simply because the media wants them to, then the media and all the other detractors win. You do not make excuses when there are no excuses to make. You do not provide further explanation when the initial explanation suffices. You do not give credence to sensationalist media and others with their own agendas. Basically you take the high road and stay on it.
