Aaron Rodgers is a big titty communist according to this ride of a thread
This is one of the better threads. You have posters speculating on homosexuality, classic art by men with afros, pretty girls who hawk cell phones, economic ideology and 80s nerdball musicians marrying hot latina chicks who worship Eastern philosophy.

And a bit of Western philosophy too:

I think the younger generations would be wise to swing toward trades. Even if what you think is going to happen eventually happens, there’s an abundance of need for skilled trades which won’t be phased out by automation anytime soon. They’re also offering very attractive packages as their workers enter retirement to appeal to younger demographics. The emphasis on college degrees over recent decades has created a shortage for skilled trades with demand for their services virtually unchanged.

The worst situation is to be without a college degree and then to go into an industry where college degrees are valued. Ultimately, all the recommendations and work experience in the world will do very little to help you overcome the industry’s merit-based norms.

I feel better about this thread. It was getting carried away with seriousness.

Since we are derailed by nerd girls... here's one of my favorite dorks:

Thanks for the recommendation. If I'm interpreting you correctly, we largely agree. Positive change will require a cultural revolution for any proposed governmental or economic system to work equitably and sustainably.

The way things are going right now, consumption-wise (increasing exponentially) I think changes are going to be imposed upon us, rather than the other way around.

We'll be forced to adapt, to change our way of living.

Is that the band camp girl from American Pie?

Joe Kerr's Ideas for a better country/world

1)The violent crime problem..as we all can see, violence is rising exponentially as Soros moles seek to flood our big city streets with violent incarcerated criminals. Solution....construct a biosphere on the moon. Using technology we have TODAY, a sustainable habitat can be constructed using modular models, whereupon expansion becomes a non issue.

YOU **** up...you go to the moon. You murder? You rob, loot, rape and run amok in free society? Moon. Once you go, you can't EVER come back.

Crime plummets. End of story.

2) You wanna play Comrade "This time for sure!" Bullwinkle?...OK, let's sit it out a few decades while terraforming and habitat construction are implemented on Mars. Populate the colony with people willing to live in a true communist society and study if it works IN PRACTICE. If it works on Mars, then you have the data to make it work here.

Personally, I'm a decadent capitalist and I'll die one but whatever floats YOUR boat is fine with me...decades from now.

Is that the band camp girl from American Pie?
Yup. I think she's hysterical in that.

I am now impervious to your unrelenting machismo and sexual ardor.

Everything I said is blatantly obvious to anyone who knows anything about economics.

No matter how melodramatic your post is you're still wrong.

You're not competing with cheap labor and subsidized companies overseas without automation.

You can't argue about McDonald's widgets without discussing their distribution facilities, vendor support chains, who most assuredly utilize automation to manufacture burger boxes etc... because if they didn't someone else would and so on and so on.

Your views are a narrow minded focus on a cashier at Micky D's losing his job to a self checkout lane.

If manufacturing companies do not automate they won't be able to compete. If they can't compete they shut down. Jobs gone.

Why are y'all so insistent on doing a godawful job of discussing economics and politics in a thread about Aaron Rodgers, when you should be posting more about Lily?

I think you seriously need to get laid buddy.
