Then they should be bringing back the regular referees to replace the garbage that they're fielding right now.
I am not happy with the current situation. But it is important to get a long term solution that allows for underperforming refs to be replaced. Right now sucks but if we want it fixed correctly the league has to control the refs, not the other way around.

Why do we always get dragged into this sh#t? I keep hearing tuck rule comparisons, all I can do is lol.

Either way it's good to see Lynch has some integrity.

The tuck rule is a bad rule that was correctly called, and had burned us earlier that same season. This was the wrong call on a rule that didn't apply to that situation in the first place, combined with an unrelated horrendous missed call.

I agree, it's just another annoying comparison is all I'm saying.

Ironically I am on the side of the league over the actual issues, I am just against them for not getting it done before this or having a backup plan.

I don't really give a ***** about their retirement plan but a 401K is absolutely reasonable given that the rest of us have that. And the refs aren't special, they just suck less than the current guys who are 4th string as the second string is reffing on Saturdays.

What King said about the league wanting more refs who are qualified so they can replace, temporarily or permanently, underperforming refs is difficult for me to argue with.

The league is wrong on pretty much everything they want. The only thing that they want that's a good idea is grading, but that already happens.

A boycott or protest would certainly work....but it's impossible. Hell, I don't even believe all the people that say they will stop watching...just not going to happen....so there is little urgency.

Face it folks, you will never in your life time hear Goodell & the NFL admit they were wrong....so stop hoping for it.

I didn't answer it that way. I posted about this elsewhere. I usually watch up to 10 games each week, and often catch others in replay. I'll no longer be doing that. I won't be watching on Thursday, and I won't be watching any games that don't involve the Patriots.

And, if they don't get this straightened out and I see a repeat of Sunday night's officiating in the Patriots game, I'll stop watching those, too.

Ok, you obviously have me beat in the football watching/knowledge department.
But in the words of Kelly Preston circa Jerry Maguire:
Don't…ever…stop…posting…here!
