Even Deion Branch was more a product of Brady and was nothing more than an average #2 WR at best. Never broke 1,000 yards in his career and was mediocre with 700 yards being his best season with 600 yards being his second highest while playing for the Seahawks.

No I liked Branch just fine but he wasn't on the same level as a Troy Brown, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, or a Randy Moss.

Branch was never a #1 WR that commanded the attention of a Defense. Its why Belichick was right for trading him away for a first rd pick. Branch wasn't worth the contract the Seahawks paid him.

It's bizarre that any GM would be discussing draft plans with another GM. The only question that I can think of that makes sense during the draft is asking if they are going to take the player you want if you trade the pick to them.

I'm sure Dimetroff asked for Bill's advice on many things. Since Bill was way out of range, Thomas didn't think him speaking to Bill was going jeopardize them losing on Jones.
