Crumpler may be back, with a restructure.
Can't say I am supprised about Crump. Got my ***** chewed on a few extended threads by many posters for feeling he was too expensive old and hurt to take over Smith. Got to respect the loyalty of his fans, they got viscious on me.
http://www.patsfans.com/ian/blog/Finally the team’s official site just announced via Twitter that the Patriots have released six veterans, including Ty Warren, Marcus Stroud, Alge Crumpler, Nick Kaczur, and Tully Banta-Cain. Stroud and Banta-Cain were just a formality, as most reports already had them set to be released. Kaczur was expected due to the fact the team wanted him to take a pay cut and he had refused, but the Crumpler, and Warren move were a surprise. Belichick may have said the trade for Haynesworth, “wasn’t official”, but Warren’s early release leads you to believe – not that there was really any doubt – that that deal is finally done. The good news for Warren is it gives him plenty of time to catch on somewhere else, although some feel that several of these deals could be restructured so that we could potentially see one or more of these guys brought back.

Here is what @NFLCharean wrote: "Warren failed his physical, failing his conditioning test. But it had nothing to do with his hip."
I dont know what to make out of all this. This is a huge blow if u asked me.This team is using alot of scrap parts on the d-line.Brace is what he is.I dont get it at all.Haynesworth wants to be a DE.
Well that opens speculation that between blowing off last season's off season to get his degree and consequently needing surgery too late to play and losing the season BB may have taken Ty's lack of conditioning as indicating a continued lack of commitment to Patriot football.
Sounds more and more like a good decisions esp if the cap cost is dead
A huge blow? They cut 3 guys who didn't play a down for the Pats last year, the 3rd TE, and a part time starter at OLB who was hurt and not going to be ready early in the year.
Is Brace gonna step up?I just dont like the depth right now.We have alot of second tier guys on the DL.Parts!Unless they are gonna make a move for Osi and play alot of 4-3 this year.
People have to remember we were 14-2 last year with out Warren. We just brought in Haynesworth and got back a very good corner in Bodden. This team is going to sign a couple UFA in the next 24-48 hours that will help us this year. Also you have to give Brace a real chance to make an impact you used a high 2nd round pick on him and his time is now. We will be fine.. better players than Warren have been cut by BB in much more dire circumstances.
Ty Warren "rested and ready to go !"
It Is What It Is » Ty Warren could be more important than Albert Haynesworth
The whole Ty Warren cut shock and suprise last not even an hour, then we find out that the Pats may or may not be able to get his whole cap hit off the books, he flunked his physical and the conditioning test and it all makes sense now..................
Has anyone be able to figure out if they can write off the cap hits for anyone cut before the beginning of the league year, or is it just for the Jets???

Yeah I'd like to hear more about this. EEI reported only a 600k savings. That just can't be right.....
