What i posted would probably happen to just about any rookie qb coming into the nfl. He needs to get up to speed. But with this o-line going against this defense its going to be harder.
Even NEO fell on his first jump!

At what point do Maye's accuracy problems become a concern? I was prepared for rookie mistakes, things attributed to the noggin' but accuracy issues wasn't something I was ready for. Every day there's reports of hospital balls, balls overthrown, balls thrown behind. I'm sure it's a product of his footwork but at some point it's gotta get cleaned up a bit, right?
Learning the offense and playbook, reworking his throwing mechanics and footwork, getting used to the speed and athleticism of pro-caliber players. That's a lot to pick up and learn. Patience is the key. We need to bring him along carefully. The worst mistake would be to give him the Mac Jones upbringing.

I'm seeing/hearing positive buzz around rookie WR Ja'Lynn Polk. Looks like we might have got a good one.

Nice looking route for Polk:

From what I’ve seen there’s positive buzz around Polk and even more positive buzz around Baker.

WRs in general seem to be young, talented, and hungry. Except Juju of course. I’m starting to be cautiously optimistic about the offense.

I’m thinking our expectations may prove to be upside down, or backwards. We’ve been expecting a good to perhaps even great defense, and a mediocre at best offense.

On offense, at the skill positions we know Brisket will be the QB, and while he won’t carry the team he also won’t throw picks and lose games for us. Talk is we’ll see a run-first team, and that probably means a dink and dunk spread it around passing game. That will work well with Brisset’s experience. WRs look like we have at least six or seven roster worthy players. Actually, counting Bourne with Baker, Boutte, Douglas, Osborn, Polk, Reagor, and Thornton there’s 8 WRs without Juju. TE and RB look like we have good enough talent, maybe with need for a bit more depth. OL seems to be starting to shape up. It is starting to look to me like offense will outperform expectations.

Defense is trending the other way. Looks like we’re going to lose our two best defensive players with Barmore gone and the front office shunning Judon. Godchaux is unhappy about his contract too. There’s a hole at safety. Gonzo is back but the rest of the CBs aren’t able to shut down even our own young WRs. Worst of all is the front office handling of Judon’s contract situation, not even engaging with an established star, one of the best players on the roster, who has said he’d like to retire as a Patriot and can’t even get the team to respond to his contract proposal. The FO may end up kicking Judon to the curb after losing Barmore and putting the D behind the eight ball, when we expected a top 5 D this season.

I’m more worried about the D than the O, at the moment.

Hahaha… I love it.

Around the draft it’s “I understand he’s young and will need some time to develop.”

Two days into padded practice….

I'm calling it. Maye is a BUST. ; )

I remember the talk on Draft Day how Wolf Reached for Polk if He and Baker gets it from Day 1 it's gonna be something. Wolf GM of the year??

At least we still have Zapp just in case
They have Brissett. They should have signed him years ago to mentor Mac instead of Cam.

Not because Cam was a bad mentor, he just couldn’t play anymore. So when Mac crashed and burned at least you’d have steady QB play. Bill might still have his job.

If Bill didn't hire his two buddies in over their heads to ruin run his offense he absolutely would still have a job.

The Dolphins already signed Brissett when Mac Jones was drafted.

Just like in 2020 the mods made you a personalized whining section where you can moan and kvetch. Keep it off the main board, nobody cares.

The last two seasons when the Pats went .353 with some of the worst coaching in the NFL are part of the the "Dynasty years"? Lol

And you care. That's why you're part of the Belichick Defense Force. Do you guys have a bat signal to alert you of any post talking about Bill?

Talking Back-up Offensive Tackles we have some position flexibility with Starters Onwenu - Wallace and Okorafor. Now regarding the possible Back-ups Anderson - Lowe and Wheatley Jr let me just say None! have separated themselves. They have been turnstyles in TC not reading too much into our D-linemen running by any of them. Good thing the Practice Squad rules have changed and we can add more guys there: some of these guys don't deserve an active Roster spot. I thought there was more to Anderson but he just gets beat too often: Lowe is garbage in pass protection and Wheatley that says it all. Which Two do we keep from those Three Bums on the active Roster?? That said the position flexibility we have with Starters Onwenu - Wallace and Okorafor should help baring injuries. Wouldn't shock me to see some sort of Trade for a Young Tackle with upside who's one somebody bench. It says a lot about your dept when a Third Round Rookie is manning the critical Left side.
