At what point do Maye's accuracy problems become a concern? I was prepared for rookie mistakes, things attributed to the noggin' but accuracy issues wasn't something I was ready for. Every day there's reports of hospital balls, balls overthrown, balls thrown behind. I'm sure it's a product of his footwork but at some point it's gotta get cleaned up a bit, right?

Everyone on here knows that the starting OL is a weak link. So why anyone would be surprised Maye is struggling behind the second team OL is baffling. Antonio F***ing Mafi is his C for ****’s sake

First week of his first pro TC, the o-line stinks, the defense is way ahead, so it will take him time to get used to it

He had a real crappy line in front of him in college. He needs to get used to NFL talent and speed, everyone he's up against is better than he's had to face, He's a kid with limited experience but has a great deal of talent. Imo, he's going to be very good, but it's going to take some time, perhaps this entire season.

He is 21 years old. He wasn't even alive when Mo Lewis knocked Bledsoe out.

39 days to week 1....then probably another 8-9 weeks before he is even ready to take live NFL reps.

Not even worried about it a bit.

What i posted would probably happen to just about any rookie qb coming into the nfl. He needs to get up to speed. But with this o-line going against this defense its going to be harder.

Most of the off target stuff seems to be timing throws. Which is as you say attributed to the noggin, fixed when he can process everything a heartbeat faster. I'm not concerned at all at this point.

I would add to that, that it is clear that they have him playing in structure right now. Know where to go with the ball pre snap, throw on time. And he is struggling with which is normal since that wasn’t what was ask of him in college. Now he is reacting and is a bit late to everything.

I think we will see a different Drake Maye in the pre season games where I hope we will be able to see what he can do when he is just playing football and can play a little bit more out of structure like he did in college.

Even Patrick Mahomes said that he couldn’t read defenses until the end of his second starting season and his first starting year when he won MVP, he was just playing football.

I mean the guy had more than a few Tebow-esque throws during his Pro Day where I went... what the F was that? For me, it's expected in the early going, but like Steve102 said, if he's still like this next year, then I'll start getting concerned.

I never heard him speak till now…I don’t think. Articulate and smart. I like his attitude.
