Trolling Mayo?

Now find some that move.

"We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.
Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can."
I can neither confirm nor deny knowing anything about that....

I understand that. My point is if Mayo wanted to coach elsewhere, nothing prohibits him from doing so. Apparently he'd rather collect the money and sit on his ass than work and learn i.e., no genuine passion for coaching.

TBF he needed some persuasion to do it in the first place. He didn't jump straight in the way that Vrabel did. I can't say he didn't have a passion after he started, but it certainly wasn't his be-all end-all goal.

Or he prefers to collect his full Patriots payout and work at something other than coaching, so what he earns from that increases his net takehome pay.

I once had a job paying me to come to work and another paying me to not come to work. It was nice having those paychecks add up. It would not have been as nice if the second paycheck was reduced by the amount of the first one.
