The question then becomes why? Why would an owner feel the need to have to get involved??..That’s business, not football.
No, business knowledge and football knowledge are completely different things. It's all relevant there Woz...
Ego.The question then becomes why? Why would an owner feel the need to have to get involved??..
Saying relative because running an NFL organization is a business... of course owner's shouldn't be worried about scheme and game plans...No, business knowledge and football knowledge are completely different things.
If I’m a billionaire who made his money in real estate and I want to start a quantum computing business… I have no place going down to the factory floor and telling my PHD’s and geniuses how to do their job.Saying relative because running an NFL organization is a business... of course owner's shouldn't be worried about scheme and game plans...
Oh definitely hear what your saying.. just wondering why would an owner have to feel the need to do such??If I’m a billionaire who made his money in real estate and I want to start a quantum computing business… I have no place going down to the factory floor and telling my PHD’s and geniuses how to do their job.
I mean, I can, it’s my company… it’s just going to fail spectacularly.
Ask Jerry Jones.Oh definitely hear what you’re saying.. just wondering why would an owner have to feel the need to do such??
That’s not meddling in internal team details that he should’ve delegated and then stayed out of, it’s helping to run the league business of which he is part ownerIf our owner didn't meddle the 2011 CBA doesn't get done, the multiple billions generated from the TV deals doesn't see NFL owners pockets...
Is picking at scabs always your favorite indulgence? There goes the " collaboration" argument. Bill ran everything, and ultimately ran the franchise into the ground,
I know.. just was having a little fun with wozzy...That’s not meddling in internal team details that he should’ve delegated and then stayed out of, it’s helping to run the league business of which he is part owner
Tarzan has grown on me. I was doubtful about him having any real impact on the team. However I've been pleasantly surprised. He's as reliable, steady veteran presence and a force in the blocking and passing game as well.Y'all read that article and only focused on the Mayo fiasco? Not the insights into THIS team? Here are a few things that stood out to me:
- I see posts here that literally say "McDaniels is a mediocre OC because they call too many first down runs up the middle." This article gives a peek into what an OC really does for a living.
- A hint why during the dynasty era the Patriots managed to put up a winning record in games Brady was out, while during the Roethlisberger era the Steelers had a losing record in games Ben was out.
- One more way Tarzan Hollins contributes that doesn't show up on the stat sheet.
- A little insight on some of the surprise cuts, trades and benchings of veteran players. Not specifics, but the emphasis on fairness and culture.
- If your nervous system can handle even more excitement about Drake Maye's future, you'll get it.
there was never any collaboration. Bill was the ultimate say on all football decisions. There goes the " collaboration" argument. Bill ran everything, and ultimately ran the franchise into the ground,
Mayo the season prior took interview to be a HC. The next season he turned down interviews to be a HCMoreover, the media knew about it when he signed the contract. Belichick absolutely knew about it.
Always good!I know.. just was having a little fun with wozzy...
I mean, it's not just that.Absolutely positively.. a guy who wrote/signed players and coaches contracts...
