I mean its obviously better than 5'8 and running a 6 flat...You never responded to wether you think being 6'2" and potentially having 4.2 speed is a trait you'd like a WR to have?

But yet up until we traded him some on here kept trying to defend him.Tyquan Thornton should never be mention in the same breath with any WR. He was never even one the guy was worse than Hairy.
No Thornton did NOT win the Biletnikoff award. He was only named to preseason watch list. Jalin Hyatt won it that year..
Better hands than Tet on contested balls, can read a defense and react, runs great routes, 6'2", 4.2 speed, won the Fred Biletnikoff award for best WR in college
One-if is saying Hunter won the award this year.No Thornton did NOT win the Biletnikoff award. He was only named to preseason watch list. Jalin Hyatt won it that year.
No he does not run great routes
Did not see any evidencr of great hands in NFL
Bust
He won the Fred Biletnikoff award for being the best WR in college football. He is not a Day 2 offensive project - LOL.
Because his upside as a WR might be higher since he's played the position less. He sees #1 WR money is beating #1 Cb money so he might have incentive to Push more at wr.So did Jalin Hyatt lol, Jordin Addison - good but not great, Jerry Juedy... Can anyone speak to his competition and how they see that translating to the NFL? All I'm getting is awards and draft gurus. And more, importantly can anyone speak as to why we'd play him at WR over CB?!

Either way he probably plays third down a ton on both sides of the ball.
Every scout I've seen has him as a first as a wr and as a first as a CB.
The general consensus is he likely is a perennial Pro Bowler and one of the top cornerbacks in the league thus teams lean toward CB. Yet Todd McShay says he's a better wr than CB.
We are talking HOF possible generational talent if he stays healthy, which is why Titans take him IMO. We probably get Carter or Graham.
Sorry Hairy you meant right???But yet up until we traded him some on here kept trying to defend him.
He's first round in any draft. He's not Nabers or Chase prospect as a WR but his potential upside is a bit of a mystery due to playing both ways. I think he's a possible top 10 NFL receiver that can then go shut down a receiver as a cb on 3rd down.Is he day 1 WR talent in any given draft? Or is it day 1 this year because it's not a draft loaded with top-end WR talent? (Genuinely asking, not trying to just be rhetorical).
You are correct. We are not sure but he is really fast.do we actually know he has 4.2 speed?
he supposedly ran a 4.2 in HS........HS recruiting times are notoriously unreliable
i'll believe it when i see it at the combine
We are talking about Travis Hunter. No Thornton did NOT win the Biletnikoff award. He was only named to preseason watch list. Jalin Hyatt won it that year.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Thanks for clarifyingOne-if is saying Hunter won the award this year.
WHO did he play against? On EITHER SIDE of the ball. What?? Day 2?? He is going to likely be the top receiver in the draft on the consensus board, number 2 at worst. He seems to have a reputation among casual college fans of being a raw receiver who only succeeds at the position because of his elite athleticism, but if you listen to the draft guys and former scouts who have watch him and have studied his film, they say that he is a polished route runner with good releases at the line and the ability to consistently set up cornerbacks in order to gain separation.
Daniel Jeremiah, who obviously knows his stuff as a former NFL scout, has him 2nd on his top 50 big board and thinks that receiver will be his best position in the NFL. Even if you think that cornerback is his best position, it is absurd to label him a day 2 receiver prospect.
His route tree is pretty limited because the offense did not ask him to be a route technician or he couldn't. I believe he can and it was the offense. He reminds me of a raw Garrett Wilson as far as him movement.Have you watched his game film and saw how much he progressed from last year to this year?
Dude ran better routes and had much better separation than Tet, plus his contested catches was the best in the country.
The old adage against DBs is that if they could catch a ball they would be WRs. We'll Hunter catches balls like an elite WR
I am at a loss by the CB OR WR discussion. Why can't he play both? Lots of the guys in the secondary play 50% of the game, and lots of WRs play 50%. Use Hunter for his strengths. Do you need him on the field for running downs? I realize play action hides which plays are runs or passes, but it is not hard to identify most of the running plays. So did Jalin Hyatt lol, Jordin Addison - good but not great, Jerry Juedy... Can anyone speak to his competition and how they see that translating to the NFL? All I'm getting is awards and draft gurus.
