Considering Sanders was horrific as a deep ball passer this is kind of surprising
I think Hunter will need a few years to peak, but the talent is remarkable.

It's obvious the Hunter/Carter duo is going 1-2. I would be happy with Graham: with the Barmore situation. The Draft is Very Deep @ Edge so if Barmore comes back him and Graham would be formidable Inside.
Some guys don’t have the genetics to have a pretty body. Graham is said to have great conditioning and to be very strong. If it is the case that a pro style strength and conditioning program can help him replace 15 pounds of fat with 15 pounds of muscle, watch out. He’s already a dominant player.
I am at a loss by the CB OR WR discussion. Why can't he play both? Lots of the guys in the secondary play 50% of the game, and lots of WRs play 50%. Use Hunter for his strengths. Do you need him on the field for running downs? I realize play action hides which plays are runs or passes, but it is not hard to identify most of the running plays.
If Hunter really has high 4.2 to low 4.3 speed, his hands and jump ball skills are fabulous, and he can learn multiple routes, why not play him alongside Tee Higgins, like the Bengals played Chase? Higgins, Hunter, Henry, Hooper, Douglas, and Boutte is not a bad lineup. Bourne is an injury sub. Find 2 tackles and a 3rd down back, and we have a real offense. It will take awhile to get everyone on the same page, but that is the fun part.
The Browns are in salary cap hell, only the Saints have it worse than them. They’re stuck paying Watson who may not play for them this year, Winston is a free agent, and they only have Thompson-Robinson under contract at QB. They can’t afford to splurge in free agency at QB and will need to strongly consider taking either Ward or Sanders with their 2nd overall pick. They need a cost-controlled, long-term option. There’s just no way all three teams pass on QB, so you can count on at least one of the premium defensive options (Hunter/Carter/Graham) to be there at 4.
100% correct that this would be a disaster. At 4 if you can not trade down and hunter, carter and graham are off the board
I think you would have to take campbell.
Unfortunately this scenario is actually possible
FU Mayo for costing us the #1 overall and a shot at a playmaker
Great post. @KCSVEN is the master - listen to him, not me.That's why I think he should primarily spend his time on one side, with maybe a few snaps depending on gameplan on the other side. I'm on the side of: CB primary, 5-10 snaps at WR. But you and KSEVEN are making me think twice about that, as he could be actually better at WR? I'm still leaning more towards CB, but less adamant. I will definitely be adamant about his snap management, though. No need to waste a 1st rnd pick by wearing him out before his rookie deal is up.
It really goes to need, if #1 CB is a need I'd play him there and have him as a WR on 3rd downs or big plays in the game. Since we have Gonzalez then WR is a need so I'd -play him there and have him 3rd down/important plays as CB.Key part being that puts you in at over 50%. The NFL is not forgiving at all, and snap management is half the game, as there's another one next week
Plus, might help to reference an adjacent topic, RE: when Belichick was asked when/why it was determined that a roster spot should be spent on a kicker, punter, long snapper individually, one of his better press conference questions. His answer includes the importance of how much time you have in practice to work on your specialty, highlighting why a kicker/punter hybrid is so rare.

Vince knows QThank God the Patriots passed on Vince Wilfork, that dude never passed a cow he didn’t eat. .
The fact you're having to justify why a receiver that won the Biletnikoff award is competent as a WR is hilarious to me... just shows how many people have never seen the kid play, or don't know what the hell they're looking at if they have..
Better hands than Tet on contested balls, can read a defense and react, runs great routes, 6'2", 4.2 speed, won the Fred Biletnikoff award for best WR in college
I think it will be 2 QBs before us and Carter or Hunter. They might pick Carter before Hunter because of the hype around Parsons. The fact you're having to justify why a receiver that won the Biletnikoff award is competent as a WR is hilarious to me... just shows how many people have never seen the kid play, or don't know what the hell they're looking at if they have.
Dudes got that rare Saquon style x factor elusiveness, he's 100% gonna be a threat in the NFL. I'm keeping receipts from this thread when he inevitably gets added to the insane and ever growing list of incredible receivers we passed on, for players that are no longer in the NFL. Although I'm thinking he goes in the top 3 overall, he's that good. Carter is a nice consolation.
Reported Vrabel is going with a 4 man front.. when we last did this it was under Vrabel.. we rushed the passer and stiffled offenses.. that 2nd Rams superbowl defensive game plan was masterful.I assume you'll switch from a 3 man front base defense to a 4?
To bring us back ontopic this would be further reason for selecting Carter over HunterReported Vrabel is going with a 4 man front.. when we last did this it was under Vrabel.. we rushed the passer and stiffled offenses.. that 2nd Rams superbowl defensive game plan was masterful.
Agreed there. As much as I love hunter.. Carter is likely the more logical pick if you will.. I can just sense that we are going be far better on offense no matter who we add at WR. So take Carter at 4 if he's there. To bring us back ontopic this would be further reason for selecting Carter over Hunter
I don't think it'll be a choice, only 1 will be available. It might be a question of Hunter vs Graham. To bring us back ontopic this would be further reason for selecting Carter over Hunter
