Some are saying Shedeur Sanders is out of the First Round I'm like ok.

Those are rankings, not mock drafts...those two thinks are very different

Looks better than anyone the Pats have! oh, yeah, plus he is a shut down corner with height and elite speed! This is what they call a "generational talent", don't overthink it, if he is there, just take him and don't look back.

Oh I wouldn't be mad if he is picked. But if he is picked for the offensive side over the defensive side - that's where I'm not convinced. He clearly has IQ and is a great defender. His offensive production seemed to be where he's a level of open you don't really see much at all in the NFL because more people will match his athleticism, but he definitely had a few great catches. He seems to me: Day 1 defensive talent, day 2 offensive talent as a project.

I'm more or less speaking to those who think he's an answer to our WR woes - I don't see him as that. Keep a majority of his snaps to being DB.

Have you watched his game film and saw how much he progressed from last year to this year?

Dude ran better routes and had much better separation than Tet, plus his contested catches was the best in the country.

The old adage against DBs is that if they could catch a ball they would be WRs. We'll Hunter catches balls like an elite WR

It's the competition level. That's my main hang up. Will he really look that clean and open in the NFL? I think he'd be a great 10-15 snaps, package specific option, but keep a majority of his snaps on the defensive side.

I think he's picked as a CB but is used a few plays a game at WR.

He won the Fred Biletnikoff award for being the best WR in college foitball. He is not a Day 2 offensive project - LOL.
His height and speed were offered as to why he would be good. I posted TT to show that alone is not enough. But I appreciate you adding other context to the discussion.

Ian Rapoport just said Giants and Browns both expected to draft QB’s, hope he is right
Their personnel guys may not be thrilled about the prospect of taking one of these QBs, but neither GM can afford to NOT take a QB (unless Darnold ends up being available and they want to go to the free agent route). They are both on the hot seat this year, with a high likelihood of being fired in their teams end up with another top 5 pick in 2026.

What?? Day 2?? He is going to likely be the top receiver in the draft on the consensus board, number 2 at worst. He seems to have a reputation among casual college fans of being a raw receiver who only succeeds at the position because of his elite athleticism, but if you listen to the draft guys and former scouts who have watch him and have studied his film, they say that he is a polished route runner with good releases at the line and the ability to consistently set up cornerbacks in order to gain separation.

Daniel Jeremiah, who obviously knows his stuff as a former NFL scout, has him 2nd on his top 50 big board and thinks that receiver will be his best position in the NFL. Even if you think that cornerback is his best position, it is absurd to label him a day 2 receiver prospect.

don't sleep on Jaxson Dart - he's zooming up draft boards right now, generating a lot of buzz.......someone may make a move to get him before is all said & done

I think he is something of an enigma. Is he offense, defense, or both. Time will tell I suppose. For me I prefer us to take Carter if he is there at four.

.

Better hands than Tet on contested balls, can read a defense and react, runs great routes, 6'2", 4.2 speed, won the Fred Biletnikoff award for best WR in college

do we actually know he has 4.2 speed?

he supposedly ran a 4.2 in HS........HS recruiting times are notoriously unreliable

i'll believe it when i see it at the combine

I thought he'd be good too. Are you saying those aren't good traits for a WR?

You never responded to wether you think being 6'2" and potentially having 4.2 speed is a trait you'd like a WR to have?

Tyquan Thornton should never be mention in the same breath with any WR. He was never even one the guy was worse than Hairy.
