Good points. I didn't take that into account. Top dogs are Diggs, Pop and Boutte.. also sprinkle in a little Kyle Williams as well.. where I see Hollins impact is red area, and when we decide to be run heavy.. other than that those other guys along with Henry are the chain movers.
He's definitely our biggest most physical WR who he should help in the run game. I've seen a few posters imply that he will make the team because he will be used as a pass catcher in the RZ due to his size. While he's big, I don't think he's ever been a very good RZ threat, as he's not really a get open quick guy. I tried to find his RZ target share/TDs, but couldn't, but from memory he's never been that effective as a pass catcher down there.

I've always felt like Barmore at his full strength and potential could have a Chris Jones type impact to the D.. we've seen his impact when healthy. Now he has some Dawgs all around him. Teams won't be able to double him.
Agreed. I remember back to his days at Bama when they went onto the National Championship. Dude was unblockable.

He had I believe 5 TDs last season I think?.. not sure how many of them were red zone targets.. I Know he had a big play for a TD against the rams last season that game was on CBS, and he had a big play for TD in the playoffs against the chiefs.. he seems to be a guy that defense forget about and he can make a play. Yes his size, experience and physicality is definitely something you want in your WRs. His job will be role specific.

Yes!! He had a nice rooks season as well he and judon were great! That knee injury that season at Miami hampered him into the 2022 season..

Once your behind hard to play catch up.. of course agreed.. long way to go.. Hollins will be role specific.
maybe, maybe not...

i see little to no value in Mack Hollins tbh... maybe some good work in camp will change my mind... or it won't

Bourne is the better overall receiver... played exceptionally well in 2021 with McDaniels, and is 2 years younger than Hollins...

I don't hate Hollins, it's just that I don't care about him... he's a bit player not a game changer... but the same could really be said about Bourne at this point...

ymmv

That's when economics come into play. Bourne has $7.7M cap hit, $2.8M dead hit. I would argue his skill set is a little redundant with the other WRs we have. I'm not against Bourne, but I think he's going to have a very hard time making the team.

oh sure, be logical, lol... listen, I don't care about the money... the players should get as much as they can, when they can... if its Bourne and his 7.7m cap hit or Hollins and his 2.0m cap hit, no one will notice the difference except Bob Krafts wallet...

as for skill sets ... i would just say "at least he has a skill set" ... Bourne is a JAG, no doubt... Hollins is a mediocre JAG though...

and you and @Real fan 02 are probably correct, he will have an uphill battle making the team...

I think Bourne is a better overall player than Mack Hollins... me? I want the better players on the roster... ymmv

I think Bourne was a better player, can't argue that. Is he still, I don't know. He has not stood out in camp and his most successful season is a few years removed. Lots TBD in the next few weeks, maybe Bourne carves out a role, I just don't know right now.

You have always felt the "Chris Jones" impact? Nice. Can you share what the feels like?

Any chance a Patriots channel will air the game?

Could use the distraction tonight
It may also be on the Patriots network youtube channel?? I'd check that as well?
Good questions. I’d like to be able to see it, but it looks like best we can get will be listening. Found this on te team site:

I think one day is open to public and the second isn’t open to the public.
It looks like it is only one practice with Washington.

Yes, it is Bourne's role as a TOP special teamer that will get him that 5th or 6th spot. NOT!

Hollins played 94% of the snaps the year he played for Josh. Something to keep in mind.
His production for that many snaps was not impressive. Something else to keep in mind.
