Of course, we are looking at several positions: OT, C, LB, DT, CB and of course STs. Maybe we'll trade for someone, perhaps not.
=====
As we look to the future, we will also consider trading players who might not be part of that future. Some options are:
Thornton
Osborn
Bourne
Sow
Strange
Jon Jones
Uche
Wise (I am surprised that he hasn't be extended), and now
Peppers

No one is trading for Peppers and his legal problems. Only tradeable player in that group might be Bourne.

I think you trade only one of Thornton, Osborne and Bourne. Bourne is the oldest at 29 but I’d like to keep him for Maye’s development this year.

The other 2…it’s Strange or Sow. I think Sow is good but Strange might be a better fit for wide zone. Decisions, decisions.

Also Osborn and Thornton have NO Trade Value whatsoever might as well release them. Terrible thread for this current Team.

Sow is a decent Starter/Backup this Team shouldn't be Trading anybody worth a dam along the OL.

Uche couldn't find a good free agent deal last year. I can't imagine he has a whole lot of trade value.
Nobody wants him Judon on the other side made him look relevant. Uche is literally a nobody now.

Uche had offers and begged the patriots to take him. He wants to prove himself here and sign here long-term.

There seems to be interest now. There are other articles.

They also have Sow on a cost controlled rookie contract for two more years. He's not going anywhere.

Strange is nearing the last year of his rookie deal but he's damaged goods now. He has to prove he can even play.

Thornton is nearing the final year of his rookie deal, that's why he's in trade talks. It will be annoying to watch him go to a team with a functioning passing attack and see if he can produce.

Sow and Strange need to stay. Would only make things worse with less OL injured or not. Thornton had his chance but I’d let him play with drake a game.

Everyone will want the trash castoffs offs from a 1-4 team. We gonna get so many 19th round picks.

I don't expect to have SEVEN WR's on the 53-man roster after the trade date passes. 6 is really too much for a running team, but that's another story. Perhaps folks think that a running team needs more than 8 targets (5 WR, 2 TE, and 1 RB).

After letting Juju walk this is an embarrassment, especially since Polk hasn't distinguished himself.

They have too many redundant WR's, and because of contract reasons they want to put Thornton on the trading block.

Screw that, put Thornton back in there with Maye... give him a deep threat. Give Demario heavy targets.

Osborn, Bourne, Polk, Baker, Boutte... these guys are all the same. Trade one of them or move them to the practice squad.

Trading Osborn makes too much sense. He was a productive #3 WR in Minnesota the last three seasons, but he always seemed to be a one year rental to weather Bourne’s injury and maturation of whatever rookie they picked unless he broke out and showed that he was worthy of a bigger role than the 53/615/5 he averaged those three years with the Vikings. He did the opposite of breaking out, Bourne is back, and the nerd stats say Polk has been doing very well but needs a QB to throw him the ball. I suppose Boutte working his way into the rotation is a bonus too.

The issue now is that the comp pick system is going to rule teams out, as trading for Osborn counts as a free agent addition and would cancel out comp picks that teams otherwise would get. He’s a 7th round comp pick value himself (meaning he’d cancel out a team’s lowest projected pick), so going off Korte’s projections, these are the teams that would be losing a comp pick in addition to whatever they traded for him:
3rd: Vikings
4th: Giants
5th: Bills
6th: Raiders, Seahawks
7th: Dolphins, Browns, Chiefs, Chargers, Packers, Saints, 49ers

He's been here several years, never developed power, inconsistent setting the edge, not really an edge player just a speed rusher who occasionally gets loose. I would like to see White playing a Willie McGinest type edge, and then find someone to play the other side. Jennings is adequate but not special.

After letting juju walk??? I guess we should go back and see how often you wanted him to be part of this year's and next year's WR group. Juju just wasn't part of 2025-2027 playoff runs. Contract reasons. Thorton's contract would be a reason to keep him over Osborn.

Trade or move one of them to the Practice Squad or trade them? Let's start with making TWO of them inactive, barring injuries to others. Oh, the team actually did that this week. Baker is a developmental player who should see very few reps this year. Osborn is a backup #5 in case one of the other four is injured.

Of course, two of that group is enough: Polk and Boutte for this year (unless Baker can beat out Boutte).

We need four active WR's: Bourne, Polk, Douglas and Boutte.

There is exactly zero need for a 5th active WR when we have Henry, Hooper and Gibson as receiving targets.

We need an inactive, backup #5. I like Osborn better in that role than Thornton, but I can see getting rid of Osborn and keeping Thornton. I just think that the decision has been made. Thornton has had his chances. Osborn is fulfilling his 2024 role in an OK manner.

Want Juju, didn't want Juju... what does that matter? They choked down a 9 million dollar dead cap hit to get rid of him.

And yeah, they wasted a 2nd round pick on Polk when they already had five other Polk's already in Osborn, Bourne, Baker, Boutte and Juju... who just had 7 catches for 130 yards a couple days ago. Apparently he can still play...

But we could use a tackle right about now, and Thornton would help Maye out a lot more than another redundant possession receiver.
