Ross youre a lucky guy too. My ex and I separated when my twins were 2. It was devastating to me. She got the house and of course made sense the kids stayed there. She ran her business from there so our kids have never needed daycare. For the first few months after their births I didnt sleep much- with twins when one wakes up or needs a 3am feeding they both do- so both of us had to get up. I still needed to get up for work around 6 so it was rough for a while. But when I was no longer there I wouldve given anything in the world to be back, no sleep and all. We got divorced eventually I feel like I lost a lot of my kids' childhoods. Its not the same when youre not the custodial parent. So embrace it bro, it doesnt last that long.

And I hear you. Short sleep nights are tough especially when you think youre done with it. Hey, how about giving the older kid a bump in allowance to get up for you when the toddler wakes up crying? Probably wont work but if you could pull it off youd be a hero to all Dads plus get more sleep
