Julian Edelman doesn't tend to get the credit and respect he deserves around the league, but one former player took notice in a recent ESPN segment, putting him ahead of some notable names which created some controversy.

Almost lost tonight against a sub par Packers team. Their heads need to be on their next opponent. I know the Patriots will. With that said the Patriots will wreck the Steelers once again.

Dungy defended tomlin when rodney brought this up saying that the colts used tothink of the pats too during those times even after 2 games into the season. Wish rodney had said that , thats why the colts beat the pats just once in the playoffs and rest of the time never ended up playing the pats because someone like the chargers would be beat them at home no less.

Dumb question: did Bledsoe or Brady get credit for the 01 AFCCG win?

Patriots have a much better chance of winning in Pittsburgh than Steelers do in Gillette. I think this game will be bigger for Pittsburgh.

If I am the Bengals or the Ravens, I use this as bulletin board material. He is looking three games ahead and ignoring his next opponent. We ofcourse know that no teams use material like the Patriots do. That is why we have the best coach.....

Brady. In the NFL whoever starts the first play at QB gets credit for the win (or loss, or tie), even if they never take another snap that game.

Similarly, Brady got the credit for the win against KC in 2008, even though Cassell played 3+ quarters.

The Patriots and Steelers could each lose the two games before they meet, and still be leading their divisions. Both teams know that. Both teams read papers/internet, watch TV, and otherwise communicate with the outside world. Both teams will be playing divisional rivals each of the next two games, which will minimize the likelihood of looking ahead to the point of ignoring the games at hand.

Reality is reality. That game is the elephant in the room.

Even an 11-5 record would probably get us a 1st round bye so I'm more concerned with getting and staying healthy than getting the 1 seed. Brady already has beaten the Steelers twice in the playoffs in Pittsburgh and, frankly, the 2004 Steelers looked much better than the fraudulent team that is the 2017 Steelers.

Tomlin is a moron. Anything he has to say should be judged on the basis of this fact.

I would like to point out that as soon as I heard this, I said I thought it was probable the Steelers could lose the game tonight based on the distraction and overlooking opponents (ok, that will be the last time I bring this up again).

Mike Tomlin is without a doubt the dumbest coach in the league. And that's saying a lot.

Can't wait for one of (or both) Cooks and Hogan burns their entire defense.

Sure, but if you are the Bungles or the ravens, there isn't a big enough bulletin board to make a difference. The Steelers have already crushed both those teams this season...

Baltimore certainly has the capacity to pull off a victory, but it really won’t matter right now because it ultimately comes down to who wins the 12/17 matchup. Even if we’d go into that game with an 11-2 record and they were 10-3, they’d overtake the number one seed in the head to head tiebreaker scenario.

Of course, if they lost one more game along with the BAL matchup then we could still end up with the #1 seed if the Pats lose on 12/17, but the schedule for Pittsburgh just isn’t that hard.

Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. If the Steelers lose that game, they will be broken in a way that will be hard to recover from.

I do think that game will be tough for the Pats. Teams just don't do well in the 3rd game of a 3 game road trip. But the Pats are the Pats, so you never know...

The last time the Pats had a 3 game road trip was 2002. They also had one in 2001.
