Tom Curran: Sources made 'clear to me' decision to move on from Belichick made after Germany game

I just realized that there is another option.

Kraft could instruct the new GM to build around Corky Mac. Instead of drafting a QB in round 1, the GM will go full Jerry Jones and take a WR. Kraft was in on Terry Glenn.

That sad look in Germany was for the pain Corky has had to endure. Now the Krafts want to make things and build a machine around Corky.

Can’t believe a mind can even contemplate replacing BB with Eric Bieniemy.
Tells me they don’t have an idea on how to build a team and are severely underestimating BB’s contribution. He has not changed that much. Don’t get it twisted.

Sure thing, sounds legit.

in other news, its time. These coaches all have a shelf life, he’s hit his. Forever Grateful for what’s he’s accomplished here, but it’s time. The next good to great coaching/front office team is out there. Question is, can Robert capture lightening in a bottle again?

If it was that easy they would have found him already and so would every other team.
Including the draft pick it took to acquire JimmyG, along with the treasure trove it took to acquire Trey Lance, before finally settling on Brock Purdy... it took a total of three first round picks, a 2nd rounder, a 3rd rounder, a 7th rounder and seven years to find their franchise caliber QB. Three of those were single digit win seasons.

You’re talking about the guy who drafted Jameis Winston with the first overall pick?

Yeah, that was pure genius. That’s why Licht needed the QB Bill drafted and trained how to win.
Lol, but you said the Bucs were stacked w/ talent in 2020. Which is it?

Just your typical Wuzzy post, moving the goal posts. You're a liar and a Bill ball washer with zero credibility. You'll say anything to defend your coach. You've been rekt by multiple posters on your takes. At this point, you're just a clown show. Maybe you can follow Bill wherever he ends up.

They were stacked everywhere in 2019 except QB. They also had young DB's who needed some experience.

Jameis turned the ball over at a historic rate.... like 100+ years of organized football bad.

BB is the Patriot coach, not my coach... I don't play for him.

I'm hyper critical of all things football including Belichick or Brady, regardless of team or personnel. Sports figures aren't my heroes.

I'm just not a fanboy like you. Learn the game.

Curran is already backpedaling lol

"Things could change"
I am wondering if his source jonathan kraft. He frequently cites conversations he has had about not spending enough which jonathan dislikes. I hope whatever curran knows, krafts told BB already.
We might see another part of this story drop sunday AM

Curran backpedaled on his podcast today and said that things “seemed” final at the time but that “until it’s done, nothings final” and that if the Patriots look good to end the season it could change things. So… I’m fairly confident he either made this up entirely, or seriously embellished.

Bucs probably make the playoffs again this season. A year "after" the GOAT leaves with $79M+ in dead money. They're at #10 in effective cap space next season.

That's why Wuzzy's excuse for the 2020 season is laughable. Licht is 10x a better GM than Belichick, the main reason Bill has to go,

Here's how Wuzzy operates on the forum. His reply to the above post:

I say Licht is better GM than Bill. Wuzzy comes out swinging in defense of Bill, blasts Licht and makes fun of him for picking Jaboo. IOW, Licht is not a good GM.

Later I post this:
Before Brady, nothing. Once Brady arrived it gave the locker room what it was lacking: leadership and a winning culture. They'll probably make the playoffs this season w/ Mayfield and $79.4M in dead money. A lot of those guys are SB champions because Brady taught them how to be winners. Bill lost that in his locker room once Brady left, and was never able to put it back together.

Here's his response to the above post:

That 2019 Tampa team?

So saying Tom Brady brought some magical elements beyond mainly protecting the ball is ridiculous fan gushing.

This isn't Rudy or a Disney movie, these are full grown adults playing a sport they played their whole life. Ball security and yes, bringing in other players who wanted to play with him was his biggest contribution.

Beyond QB and LT the Bucs were the absolute best team he could have gone to.… something I said when Tom was still a free agent and why the Bucs became my preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl once he joined them and my labeling them a “superteam.”

There were a dozen QB’s
in the league at the time who could have won a ring with that team, it wasn’t QB magic… it was a magic team.

I post Brady was instrumental in teaching Bucs a winning culture. Wuzzy gets triggered again, this time to minimize Brady's contributions by saying a DOZEN QB's could've won a SB w/ the Bucs (Lol). But, in the process he calls the Bucs - a superteam. Which means, wait for it, that's right, Licht put together a superteam that half the QBs in the league could've won a SB with. Yes, the same Licht he had just made fun of because I said he was better than Bill.

Wuzzy is a Bill ball washer and a Brady hater. He's the "W" in the IBWT team. Like I said, you'll say anything. You'll contradict yourself. You'll lie. You're a clown, a ****ing joke with zero credibility. You are good for a laugh after moping the floor using your spine as the mop handle and your blood soaked hair as the mop.

BB no longer has an idea how to build a team in the modern NFL. Face facts. He's toast. I think Linda dumping him had a greater effect on his psyche than we thought. Bill's back to masturbating thinking of Linda's big tits.

You don't say. Curran and Breer embellishing? That can't be true. They are seasoned Patriots reporters. Or are they clowns?
