Tom Brady was just interviewed on Sky Sports News...

Unfortunately TB12 is not at the same territory as Ronaldo or Messi in the Europe. NFL is getting more and more popular in Europe but is still a niche sport for the most of Europeans.
Agree but Tom is developing a global brand. Hanging out in Monaco is evidence of that.

Quite frankly I bet the reporter question might be a plant

Not really. Tom is global.

He's in David Beckham and Ronaldo territory now.

I watched super bowl 46 in Taipei and people had his Jersey on then but that was before Brady was thrust into the national GOAT status so I'd imagine he's much more popular now.

...at the Monaco Grand Prix, about last nights Champions League Final.

In the words of Otara Millionaires Club, how bizarre....
Well, what did he say?

I landed in the Sydney Australia airport early one morning a few years back. The Patriots were playing a prime time evening game, so it was like an 8:30 AM or 9AM start, Sydney time. Since I wasn't going to be able to check into my hotel for a few hours, and since the airport had good wifi, I decided to watch the game on my laptop in the terminal. Before long there were 5 other Patriots fans watching with me!

Awesome!

In 2005 I was also in New Zealand hiking around Mt Tongariro (sp? It was the filming location for Mordor in Lord of the Rings).

I hit the high point of the hike and take break, enjoying one of the most stunning natural views I will ever see.

I’m by myself for 30 minutes. After that someone comes up the trail. He looks at my Patriots hat and immediately says: “Go Pats!”

We’re everywhere.
I'm extremely jealous. I've done NZ twice but was unable to take in the natural beauty you have.

With that said, tying a buzz on on the top of the Orbit 360 looking out over Waitemata Harbour in Auckland was pretty damn cool.

Tom is international. I don't mean to insult people who have not been abroad but the dude is a global name. You go anywhere with a civilization and internet access and people know who TB12 is.

Thats the big thing people might be missing here with him missing camp. Tom is preparing for life after football. He peddling his high-end brand. It indirectly helps the NFL. I think thats why Bob is the buffer between Tom and Bill.

Hes following the David Beckham global marketing playbook step-by-step.

I agree. His trip to China with his son is a good example of that.

That’s actually surprising to me just because I wouldn’t think people are too familiar with the NFL outside of the US, but I have no reason to doubt you.

Probably helps that he’s married to one of the most famous fashion models in history.

Speaking of Ronaldo, could you imagine the fallout in these parts if after the Superbowl Brady had said, "It has been very nice playing for the New England Patriots"...

Well there was the last episode of Tom v Time this year....

Not to mention Gronk’s post game press conference after the Eagles.

Brady's hitting on passes from one boat to another, so everyone can relax about OTAs now.

I know. It is surprising but Tom (and the Patriots) are all over the place. If you are wearing Pats garb in a foreign country and you are 1/2 way social or approachable the conversation will flow to Tom Brady. Guaranteed.

I do think Gisele has raised Tom's international profile....no question.

Pretty cool.

Tom...hanging out with the beautiful people on yachts in Monaco while AJ Moore is eating Taco Bell in Attleboro begging for a chance to pick him off.

Now picture what would happen with, say, a JEST QB trying that.

He's global, ok...

Even in the places where he may be more well known as Gisele's husband at least he is known. Together they are a huge international celebrity couple. To add to the comments regarding the international recognition he & the Pats have attained I've worn Pats gear and gotten (mostly positive) reactions from natives in places as diverse as Romania, NZ, Korea, South Africa and even Indonesia. I say mostly positive because bizarrely enough while wearing a Pat Patriot T I actually got a thumbs down in the Cebu Straight from a Filipino guy in a passing boat wearing, of all things, a Bills (???) jersey.

Was it a SB 28 Jim Kelly championship Jersey?
