Source?
I heard that Ted Johnson said it on the radio yesterday that his sources around Kraft said Kraft was furious about the slight.

He could have just said "listen Brady gets extended and if it's one year too long, he's the one guy we are doing it for".
That rumor was debunked. Not true.Bob Kraft, do you know who he is? Well he is furious that Brady insulted the Patriots. It is not just me, Hugger
First of all, my comment had to do with Brady's retirement post, not about how Bill handled things a few years ago. I was merely saying that Brady sending a message to the Patriots organization that he was not happy with the team by leaving them out of the post was not the proper way to go. The fans were collateral damage in all of this and it didn't have to be that way.
Second, yes, I made a knee-jerk reaction to last year's SB. After thinking about it for months, I have come to the conclusion that Brady needed a bunch of weapons to be successful his last couple years. His 2018-2019 numbers here in NE were not great. Godwin, Evans, Gronk, Brown, and Fournette elevated him. Bill didn't have anything to offer him in terms of talent (his own fault).
Tom leaving totally and completely sucked ass. It was painful. It was sad.Yea it was just time for a split.. it was sad when it happened, but its understandable to see how it was just time for them to part ways
Brady would likely not have got the 7th ring if he stayed here during a rebuild. We had to endure 1 year of Cam and an inept offense, but then we got Mac Jones who got us to the playoffs as a rookie and looks to have a promising future
It went about as well as it could have gone, when you consider that Tom Sr stated he thought it was going to end very ugly
None of them are the goat. Please.
There are idiots in any fan base. It comes with the territory. Brady always seemed to know that and previously ignored the idiots. You talk about the so called « real » pats fan that sh*t on him for the last two years?
Yup. Thanking someone twice is not a bad thing. When I am grateful, I commonly say "Thanks" more than once. You have never had someone in your life that helped you out and later thanked them twice?Tom literally thanked us two years ago when he left. He also did a 10 part documentary that aired during the season where he talk exclusively about his time in NE. Thanking everyone, pointing out how instrumental Bill was in his development etc etc.
Yes true. And we do thank him for all of his sacrifices and time in New England. Of course we thank him in a polite and respectful manner. But all the people are hang up on is he didn’t thank us in an instagram post. Tom Brady doesn’t owe us anything. In fact WE should thank HIM for all he has brought to this organization and to us
Tom is part of a players union. The players rights are defined in the collectively bargained agreement. You might not agree with the agreement but it was the players that insisted on the collective bargaining, and I think they were right to do that. Free agency is a part of the agreement that the players insisted on. Tom insisted on removing the "franchise tag" opportunity from his last deal so he was a free agent. He had earned the right to finish his career in NE and got robbed of it by Bill and spineless Bob. I have 0 doubt in my mind that Brady would trade his SB in Tampa for the opportunity to finish his career in NE.
I think he does too. I mean you can even hear some resentment in Drew Bledsoe today for the decision 20 years ago so why wouldn't Brady have similar feelings? Dude is human. It's normal to feel that way.I believe Tom does harbor some feelings of rejection and bitterness. I get it.
Wonder if there is any subtle messaging in the fact that he's on a duck boat with Pats logo that has no passengers with him
Brady thanked the organization, BB, Kraft, and our narcissistic, little fan base when he left the Patriots. He’s leaving the Bucs now.
You came to the conclusion that a quarterback needs weapons at the skill positions to succeed? This is Earth-shattering stuff. Have you phoned the NFL offices to report your findings?

to the team as it is a form of entertainment and diversion... not as the QB's bf.You do realize how ridiculous this sounds when you spend a good majority of your time on a football forum that is literally occupied by 1% of the Fanbase. That is pretty much textbook definition of an emotional attachment.

Or I believe in being civil in a mature and balanced society. I believe that it is advantageous to collectively acting in a civil manner. Being polite and respectful of others is not a bad thing. "Actually care"? Sure. I care about PatsFans, @Ian has put a lot of work into it, and if Ian closed PatsFans, it would be civil of him to write a thank you note to all of the posters. "Actually care" like I care about my family, kids, wife, etc.? No. There are different levels of commitment, and we all commit more or less depending on our personalities and situations. That is why it is constructive to be polite and respectful, and say thanks. Even say thanks more than once.If you owe him nothing, and he owes you nothing, then why do you care or consider it strange? One of two reasons -
1) You feel he owes you something.
2) You actually care.
But we know it’s not number two because you then said…
Not sure why it is important to be a manly man and out muscle posters on a message board. We all care, we are here, it is a forum which is a form of entertainment. We only participate in forms of entertainment we enjoy.I see a lot of crying. If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t comment. As for the last sentence, I really don’t think you want to exchange insults with me. I’ll chalk it up to you being snowed in and let that one slide.

It was also overdue and I do not believe it was avoidable.
It was a marriage which had run its course and it took an event realize a split was best for both parties.
Anything else that is said by Early Bird is PR spin.
I believe Tom does harbor some feelings of rejection and bitterness. I get it. I believe he feels for all he did for the organization the team should have "evolved" with him. Clearly BB and Kraft did not feel the need to reciprocate. Their priority was rebuilding a team for the long-term and a 42 year old QB with the contract demands he had did not fit the model.
I believe the absence of anything NEP-related in his retirement message was purposeful and authored with a steady hand. He intentionally left the NEP out of it. That was his choice and totally fine by me.
I personally don't give a **** nor do I feel entitled for Tom to thank me for being a fan. Nobody is entitled to anything in professional sports. The NEP demonstrated that in spades to Tom.
I'll disagree here. Not mentioning the team he played 20+ years in a retirement message is pretty notable. This was a career retirement- not a leaving the team/fan base message. In the grand scheme of things it's not a huge snub. Maybe the DEFCON 4 of shade?I think he does too. I mean you can even hear some resentment in Drew Bledsoe today for the decision 20 years ago so why wouldn't Brady have similar feelings? Dude is human. It's normal to feel that way.
I don't think Brady purposely snubbed the Patriots I think his retirement statement was all about the Bucs. He already said goodbye to us. That's just how he rolls. One chapter complete and turn the page to the next one.
If he snubs the Patriots at his HOF induction that's a different story, but he won't.
