It’s entirely possible that Brady legitimately has not made a decision and through a game of telephone an incorrect report got to Schefter. Which is hugely damning on Schefter because who on Earth could have had the authority to tell him this news where he’d pass it on as definitive?

There’s a difference between Schefter or anyone else reporting that people around Brady are saying he’s likely going to retire and “FRONT PAGE BREAKING NEWS TOM BRADY HAS RETIRED.” The standard of proof for editorial approval is just a chasm difference.

Well this got a bit weird. I'm still with @RobertWeathers - Tom told some people who told some other people and now is trying to undo the mess because the Bucs had no clue. If he is not retiring all he has to do is say so himself. My guess is that Adam is right and he knows he's right, and he'll be proven right eventually - and when he is proven right he will look sterling.

Too bad feel bad for Brady that he can't inform people stage his retirement as he wished. I am sure that they had a process laid out to inform people then have the event where/when they wanted. I though nothing would be said until after the SB. Perhaps inform the Bucs then come to NE for the symbolic 1 day deal and retire as a Patriot's, with all the National FB press there.

If he decides to retire this year, they should waive the Pat HoF requirements perhaps time it for the year after they have his night at the Stadium to retie his Jersey ect.
