Tom Brady proves he was right to fight

Good article, and gets to the heart of the matter: whether or not ANY deflating took place--and mind you, it didn't--it's INSANE that the NFL 1. didn't handle this the way they handle everything else ("hey guys, we know you're doing this, cut it out"), 2. didn't minimize the impact and instead blew things so out of proportion that it became a national news story.

Insane is the right word for the NFL's conduct.

The article mentions how Goodell equated this with PED use. Since this scandal started, we've brought up the footballs being heated during the Panthers-Vikings game in Minnesota. "PED usage" was shown during the telecast of the game. There's no question what was happening, who was doing it and why. That equivalent of the PED violation was punished with a warning letter.

The league offered some logic-bending, contradictory explanation of why that situation was handled differently (remember, per Goodell, the rules are applied evenly.) The gist of it was, "We definitely know something was done wrong in Minnesota. There's video proof of it. So that's not as bad as what we think might have happened in New England, even though there is no proof anything happened." - Insane.

Also, Bowen says he doesn't know the answer to this question and kind of leaves it at that, but people, especially media people, need to keep asking this:

"Why is the NFL intentionally trying to take down the face of the league over something so ridiculous? What do they gain?"

These mediots are just ridiculous.

The only thing they keep hanging their hat on is a Bathroom trip and a "deflator" text.

1. Never mind that Pash (NFL'S Legal advisor) edited the Well's report prior to its release. And I doubt that he was checking for spelling errors or missing commas. He was making sure that the mediots focused exactly what they focused on. Amazing how easy it was to hide scientific fact by using the word bathroom.

2. Never mind that Goodell/NFL are on record for mischaracterizing (Lied) Brady's appeal testimony (He in fact did state that he had talked to JJ about deflategate) and the NFLPA did want the transcripts released to the public. (NFL released a memo that both the NFLPA/NFL wanted to keep the transcripts sealed)

3. Never mind that they admittedly did not know about the IGL and completely botched the initial investigation and prematurely leaked "Pats cheated" to the public via Mort only to find out they desperately needed to cover their collective asses.

4. Never mind that IF they had a clear cut case they would have never had to resort to the nefarious PR acts to smear TB's name hoping that he would fold under pressure. Goodell meet Mr. Integrity.

5. Never mind the NFL had to resort to a Totalitarian Judge Jury and executioner regime in which any appeal process was simply a show for the masses.

Brady and crew is on fire. If there was anything to the Sharp analysis, competitive advantage BS you would think would have seen something by now. Nope his ratings are higher (except his QBR of course) than last year and he is having a career year.

Yeah the Colts game is going to be fun to watch but watching Goodell eat S**t will be so much more enjoyable and he will one way or another.

Will Brady file a defamation lawsuit? God I hope so. Witnessing the BS that came out after the appeal transcripts were released , I can't imagine what a defamation suit would reveal.

It's no surprise he's doing better, his balls are more consistent. No one cared before, we have verbal evidence he played a game when they were nearly 16. Even if "the boys" did nothing, he played with lower PSI balls due to natural causes. If "the boys" did something, not only would he be playing with under inflated balls, especially once nature takes its course, but they would be wildly inconsistent if "the boys" were deflating them all in 90 or so seconds; less than 10 seconds each, no time for consistency. Now the G.O.A.T., a known perfectionist, can practice and play with balls that are about the same.

One benefit we should expect is Brady won't have to play with over inflated balls when they play the Rats.

The NFL* can still always try and find some penalty that has never been called before, and will never be called again, at the right moment to try and tip the scales against the Pats.

Felger was still flapping his gums yesterday by saying, "The only people who refuse to remove their bias and get a clue that something was going on live in this 5 1/2 state region..."
The only people in the freaking universe as we know it who refuse to stop listening to Vulgar and Spazz live outside of this 51/2 state region. Tools...
