7-9 at best if Brady tried to carry the team. An 88 passer rating last year with an easy first half playing in the AFC Least division says it all. If the run game came back like in 2018 and Brady just managed the game then we’d be in the playoffs.
Man, you are in for such a rude awakening
I loved Brady on the field. Killer instinct. Production, excellence, winning.
It’ll be interesting to see how NE does w/o him.
Really think fun is overrated. Especially when it comes to being driven at work. It’s better to have fun and produce. But if there is only one, I’d chose produce.

Rude awakening about what?
I don't disagree with everything you said, BUT I am confused about your comments about how fans have reacted to the OP.The level of QB play in this league.
An amalgamation of Favre, Brady, Manning would go nowhere with Marshall Newhouse and Ted Karras protecting them, while throwing to Phil Dorsett, broken ribbed Edelman, high ankle sprain Sanu. Not happening.
6 months before Brady's dreadful throwing the ball away (or whatever you want to call it) he was lighting up the NFL in the playoffs.
When you lose OL protection and your receivers, you look like crud. Every QB looks the same in that situation.

Brady is NEVER going to say anything directly about NE and BB other than it was a great run and how he loves everyone here. It was pretty clear, at least to me that there was a LOT of inference by the media in creating a narrative that he's finally "happy" to play football again. Maybe less inference and more creative license.. But so what. That's their job I guess.
I see Brady still having a very good year in TB. Except for the OL he has a LOT of offensive weapons down there, and a good offensive coach. He will do fine. But the fact is his skills are still going to continue to erode and this will turn into a classic example of moving on from a player a year too soon, rather than a year too late. I will root for him every game he plays until he possibly plays against the Pats in 2021.
Sure, but Brady himself wasn’t very good either. It can be all of the above.
I think he will have a good season in TB if there is a season. But that does not mean this team turned a certain Super Bowl contender into a top 5 in the draft caliber team by letting him walk. That is not the case.
Good for Tom. I would be pumped too to play with that jacked offense.

The theory then is that he experienced a big decline between February and September.
Doesn't seem reasonable.
I mean, Marshall Newhouse wasn't even cut from another football team. He was completely out of football, sitting on his couch eating cheetos.
Newhouse played better when he switched positions imo.
Absolutely.Newhouse played better when he switched positions imo.
