Just like the Alabama first possession, except the pic 6

64 years old? Damn, I was guessing a stupid liquored up kid.....

You know this brings up a good question about fan behavior and rules. What should be allowed and what shouldn't. This is an obvious one but I really don't think whistling should be either like that saints fan. I don't care if it is natural or not. It kind of destroys the experience from a watching petspective.

Imo a fan should be allowed to clap yells stamp their feet and trash talk within tasteful bounds and this should be universal throughout the league.

The only question is what is tasteful trash talk and what isn't.

Seems cut and dry

  • Words = ok (and yes, faint hearts, that should be for all words and phrases not outside 1st amendment protection)
  • Whistles and assorted non-enhanced noises = ok
  • Throwing hats on ice after hat trick = ok
  • Throwing the octopi on ice at the appropriate time = ok
  • Throwing things on playing surface for any other reason = bad
  • Enhanced noises = bad (that goes for teams, too, Indy)
  • Using mirrors, lasers or other means to blind players = bad

It actually should be. If it had been a “direct hit”, it would have caused irreparable damage to his vision. That’s scumbag **** that they do in Mexico City. Let’s leave it there.

Just curious, how do you know a direct hit would have caused irreparable damage? And four people agreed with you - how do they know a direct hit would do damage. In the picture I saw it was a pretty big laser spot size, for the fluence to be above the damage threshold it would require quite a bit of energy.

"Seems cut and dry, lasers to blind players". How do you know that the laser fluence was above the retina damage threshold? Just curious.

How about throwing vibrators on the field?

Ah, the rapid wheels of justice. Or something like that.

Well they had to get their ducks in a row to hit him with a serious charge like disturbing the peace. Probably got a judge to sign off on a sneak and peek warrant based on laser pointers being the tip of the iceberg for death rays and whatnot, probably clinched the bust when the surveillance showed him teasing his cat with the pointer

Blinding doesn't need to be a permanent thing, as the mirror example should have helped to make clear. Feel free to use "make visually uncomfortable, or worse, by deliberately aiming light into a participant's eyes or line of vision".

I'm not sure that's quite on par with octopi and hats as a long standing tradition. But, if Buffalo wants to make a case for it...

Perhaps you should consult the woman in your avatar, looks like she has a vision problem.

There are actually quite a bit of articles out there that detail the damage it can do to the retina.

You should know, then, that a laser will impart the same energy at 300 feet as it does at 10 feet as it does at 1000 feet. If the laser was more than 5mw yes there is the possibility that permanent damage to the eye could result.
