I know there is already an OBJ thread, but this is worthy of its own topic.

No need to give clicks to the evil machine since the quote is posted below. In case anyone was on the fence about how much the league plays favorites, and to what degree you should be outraged (maybe even to the point of boycott), here nice little nugget for you. Officiating crews have been instructed to prevent opponents from getting inside the the head of John Mara's little thin-skinned baby, although "that's football" to the other teams. I do recall the Patriots being singled out with Gronkowski / offensive pass interference BS, something that likely cost them a win in Denver last year if not more. It's real, guys and girls; this is a direct acknowledgement that the officials are instructed to help certain teams win...not that we didn't already know that.

Coughlin offers to help OBJ; NFL eyes provocation

A source told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder on Wednesday that NFL officiating crews have actually been instructed to be watchful of opponents trying to provoke Beckham into acts that might result in a penalty.

If this is true, then all the posters who say "if you think it's fixed you shouldn't be watching it" must stop watching. I doubt very many will, but it will be interesting to see their justification (or lack of) after reading this article.

And not only that...Eli is going around saying OBJ "brought it upon himself" when it comes to officials keeping an eye on him. He is right of course, hard as it is to admit, but talk about having your teammates' back. Wow.

But yeah this isn't a shock. If you are a principal owner like Mara, your team has got it made.

I was trying to find a good meme of Jabba the Hutt saying Weak minded fool, but this is funnier

Dude, he's a Manning. I would expect nothing less..............

It's pretty clear that Eli was trying to send a message to OBJ, as opposed to just throwing the guy under a bus.

But that's a message you give in private one on one... not to the media.

Manning's a team leader, and it's clear that keeping it in house with OBJ hasn't worked.

That's true, but the next step IMHO is not then calling him out in public. At that point, again, IMHO, the coach has to step in.

Right. For all we know, he's said the same thing to him repeatedly in private to no effect.

Patriots leaders have done it in the past. Patriots leaders will do it in the future.

Does anyone really care how Odell feels?

I know I don't
