It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I expect to see that at Harvard-Yale and Princeton-Dartmouth, but for a person that experienced Schaefer Stadium, wine drinking in a Pats-Jets or Pats-Steelers game is just totally wrong on many levels.I still find it odd to see wine served at a football game. My wife and I went to to the Pats/Jets game last November and I saw people drinking wine in there plastic glasses....
Patjew,
That is sweet! Wish I was going

When I am at the game, I am 110% into the game. I never miss a play and I never leave my seat. Remember those "red seats" are a big part of the financial success of the Kraft Family and the Patriots, helping them build Patriot Place, the restaurants, etc to give an unbelievable experience for anyone holding a ticket to game. I see the fans wearing fur coats and drink out of wine glasses during a football game. I laugh at them too.

Got a letter from the Patriots today notifying me that my seats have been upgraded four rows closer to the field and one seat closer to the 50. I'm in section 227, now row 12 vs. row 16. This is my first-ever upgrade since getting season tickets in 1994. The economy must be affecting a lot of folks.
Question to other season ticket holders: has this been true for you also? I'm curious if most everybody else has been in the same seats for a long time, or has slowly been inching closer to the field at glacier-like speed for a while.Got a letter from the Patriots today notifying me that my seats have been upgraded four rows closer to the field and one seat closer to the 50. When did you have to decide on renewing your season tickets? Aside from the economy, I wonder if Brady's injury last year had any effect. Recalling some of the comments from last September, I wonder if some bandwagon fans who had come to accept nothing less than a Super Bowl victory may have had something to do with ticket availability as well. The economy must be affecting a lot of folks.

Haven't tried to upgrade in the new stadium. I'm in section 236 (first one beyond the big gap after the red seats towards the lighthouse, visitors side). We've debated trying to upgrade (our seats are sort of angled toward the 20, but if you look straight at the field, we're pretty much even with the goal line), but our seats are actually covered, so they are good in bad weather. We've had the "what if we upgrade but like our old seats better" problem for several years now. Anyone out there who upgraded in Gillette and regretted it?
PWP: My buddy upgraded from being at the edge of the overhang on the 45 yd line to the front row. Great views of the bench and Brady warming up but too shallow an angle to the field. Trouble with the overhang was that when it rained, water from the red seats above hit us right in the neck. Also we were too close to some awful smelling fried food venue. Plusses & minuses.
I am one of the people you see in the parking lot drinking wine or champagne (or mojitos). All are great. Haven't been able to stomach the taste of beer since college, and there is no other choice at Gillette except some crappy thing they call a margarita, which isn't. I WISH they would put a real wine bar at Gillette. I think they'd make a killing. A nice glass of merlot would warm you up to scream your head off at a playoff game. I am also one that doesn't get up at all during a game (I purposely hit the ladies room on the way to my seat every week so I don't have to make that trip again), but I would get up for a good glass of wine. Sorry guys!
