They should just stop Thursday night games. The last few seasons , the games on TNF have been of a very poor quality.

Marvin Lewis - "We're on to Cincinn.... Wait. What? We're on to Green Bay? Oh, ****."
That whole play was worth it just to see Watt annihilate a center.
Bengals should go to New Jersey and rename themselves New York Bengals.Regarding the soon-to-be too-often repeated stat about Cincy being the first team since the 1939 Eagles to not score a touchdown in consecutive home games, some perspective:
- In 1939 40% of the teams in the NFL averaged 10 points per game or less.
- Teams then averaged just 18 offensive touchdowns on the season.
- Including D/ST, teams in '39 averaged only 2.04 touchdowns per game.
- One of the teams in the championship game that year averaged 15 points per game.
- The pass completion rate in the league as a whole was 42.5%.
- The interception rate for the league as a whole was 9.3%.
- The passer rating for the league in 1939 was 39.7.
- More than twice as many interceptions (209) were thrown than TDs (99).
The Bengals not scoring a touchdown in consecutive games is a much larger milestone in offensive ineptitude than the '39 Eagles when you adjust for changes in the way the game is played, officiated, and consider rule changes that benefit offenses.
Relatively speaking, the '39 Eagles were an offensive juggernaut in comparison to the Marvin Lewis - Ken Zampese - Andy Dalton 2017 Cincinnati Bengals.
Woof.
Woof.
Given how weak our defense was at setting the edge week 1, Houston will be an interesting test. If they maintain gap discipline and set a hard edge, they'll contain Watson and a shutout will genuinely be in play. If not, he could create problems. I assume Belichick will spend all week stressing it.
If Marvin Lewis still has a job after this...I hope the bengals have the worst luck for all eternity
