Armchair QB here, but that seemed pretty damn obvious on replay. And the ball would still likely have been deflected by the DB runnubg undernath the receiver (Crabtree I think).

Flacco looks off what he diagnoses as the intial coverage, and then that's it. He's locked and loaded, no matter what the coverage morphs into.
