NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Thursday Night Football: Miami at Buffalo (-12½)

I think some interesting context is that BUF just beat the slimey snot out of da Jete last week, yet MIA was in the game till Tua Tua'd.

It suggests that da Jete are yet again and as expected, the true basement dwellers of the division.
And the Jete went toe-to-toe with the Steelers, and the Patriots play the Steelers this weekend.....

A>B, B>C

so... A or C?

Well, there is no transitive property of football. Or other sports, for that matter.

Am I the only one who loathed the Amazon popups on every single commercial last night, asking me to...

I hope no kids had access to remote controls!

This site cracks me up. Wish there was an NFL version.

Harvard > Notre Dame last season. Why? Simple…

Not gonna argue. Sounds logical to me.

I have Prime, but I watch the game on Twitch every week, the live comments are great.

“I’m just kidding Tua does suck” lmao

Wao. I feel more inclined to watch non-Pats Thursday football now. Just rename it the Madden View. That's amazing for really being able to see stuff. I hope they implement it on Sundays eventually, sooner rather than later.

It's super annoying.

So does the fact Miami gave Buffalo a decent game mean Miami is good enough that our win over them suggests we are more competitive than we might have thought? It doesn't necessarily, but maybe it justifies a little bump in our optimism.

I thought Buffalo looked great. Allen really is the best there is at this point, by a secure margin: as precise as he is fearless, really clever, tough. They have a LOT of weapons. Yet Miami gave them a decent run for their money. I suppose you could say, "Well, we beat Miami, and Buffalo beat Miami, so that makes us and Buffalo equal." That'd be nuts, of course, but it sure looks nice on that knick knack shelf in the back of your mind.
Maybe Miami got caught looking ahead and over confident?

Afterall, Tua was undefeated vs NE and the Pats typically wilt in the Florida heat. I rewatched the game and the Pats made a plethora of mistakes, but NE converted 10 of 15 (66%) of their 3rd downs on offense which is incredible. That likely saved the Pats defense so that they still had some battery left late in the game. The Gibson KO return was a back breaker for Miami.

If Allen does not win the Super Bowl this year then he never will until they get rid of McDermott.

It's quite mind boggling how they are scoring the points they are with such a mediocre supporting cast at WR/TE. Their window is opening back up with KC going in the direction many predicted years ago and Burrow is probably out for year.

Buffalo's main competition are Baltimore and LA Chargers.

I am not a KC fan at all, but I wouldn't count them out yet. They lost a division game to the Chargers by 6 and lost to Philly by 3, hardly going in "the direction many predicted".

How many times did you see Tua throw right into the flat? You're going to see this a lot this season. Their put together a few drives where Waddle and Hill get their yards, but they eventually run out of plays.

They can't score points. Like we saw in the Super Bowl, the offense gets exposed when the defense collapses.
