Thursday Night Football: College and Pros

For anyone that wants to discuss another epic TNF snoozefest, it's the Redskins @ Vikings tonight at 8:25.

Also tonight, #3 Oregon faces #5 Stanford at 9 PM. Mariota is 1st in the heisman race and has moved up on many draft boards as the #1 overall QB for the 2014 draft. (CBS, Kiper/McShay)

#12 Oklahoma faces #5 Baylor as well. Baylor's scoring 63.9 ppg this season.

Alot of football tonight for a thursday.

For all of the hype in the past several years that Oregon gets, they've lost to Stanford in back to back years, and also Ohio State in the bowl game.

Pretenders? I'm thinking so.

I hate to say it, but I have a hard time seeing anyone beating Alabama--as much as I'll be rooting for it to happen as a die-hard fan of the new #3 team in the country who hasn't lost in almost 2 calendar years.

Personally, I'd like to see the Alabama vs Ohio State matchup, even though 'Bama would most likely beat them up. I don't think that Florida State is all that great myself.

Nick Saban and 'Bama are incredible, and will likely get their 3rd straight title. Actually, out of my short list of candidates for our next HC, I'd have Nick Saban ranked pretty highly. Of course I hope that we don't have to worry about that for a long time, as Belichick leaving will be a very dark day for all of us.

Or Kevin Sumlin (Texas A&M) who beat Bama last year and scored a gazillion points against that vaunted defense in the last two years. BUt you're right, 'Bama are incredible.
