This is the 2011 defense all over again

I don't think Brady looked all that good last night, and the O line was really really good. That INT was absolutely awful and unfortunately he has those blunders in almost every big game he plays. It's so weird.

Well, at least we know not to take you seriously from now on.

I understand and agree with the criticism of this defense....

But there's no way this D is as bad as 2011. You want to complain about soft coverage? The gap between this team's coverage and the 2011's is like night and day. Go back and look at how far off the CBs would play off-the-line on every snap in 2011; this D isn't nearly as soft on a regular basis. Bad defensive line? Yeah, but it's not as bad as the 2011 team that had to awkwardly try and play 3-4 on one side & 4-3 on the other. Yes, the 2011 team had a better pass rush due to Andre Carter. But it really wasn't that much of a threat, again, due to the awkward nature of the 3-4/4-3. You'd have to get Carter out there with Kyle Love and Wilfork, both at DT, and then try to find a two-gap DE (Sean Ellis or Brandon Deaderick) to play on the other side of the line as a 2-gap DE. You'd only have one true pass rusher threat out there, if you were still having to watch out for the run. This is why you'd never see Mark Anderson playing opposite Carter and rushing the passer at once. This lack of rush, s also a big reason why quality players in the secondary (like Chung and McCourtey) were, at times, struggling. All the key pieces on that front-7 just didn't fit.

What? Did you say Brady "blunders" in "almost every big game" he plays? Maybe he's not perfect in ANY game, but who is?? Brady's one of the best big game QBs ever!

Lots of INTs lately in big games. SB comes to mind.. last night.. just "WTF" was he thinking type throws.
