With the new CBA, teams can much more easily move cap monies forward.

That being said, Belichick will continue to look for opportunities for upgrade at DL, OLB, S, OG, C, OT, ST and perhaps even RB. Obviously the key factors are who is available and the injury status of various players.

We could still see several transactions, including possible trades.

The great thing is that cap money is not an issue at all.

We have a few free agents at the end of the year we could extend if they are healthy and playing well; Koppen, Welker, BJGE, Guyton, Ninko and Connolly. Prob wait until the end of the year on vets like; Branch, Ellis, A. Carter because not sure how they fit in.

Two guys up after 2012 I'd like to lock up long term are Mayo and Vollmer. Seabass has been far outplaying his contract. Would like to do something there. And, Mayo because he seems to be emerging as our defensive leader.

Well as long as we are at the 'cap floor' any money left over can be saved. Who knows maybe we'll make a move but we have the room to maneuver now which is nice.

There is no per team cap floor until the end of the 2013-2016 time frame...

There is a league wide cash floor but it's completely unclear if there are any teeth in it that would encourage any particular team to spend.
